son says that its warm, and with being Autistic and having major anxiety the 20lb weighted blanket has made a considerable difference in the amount and quality of sleep that he gets, i also got one for my dad, his is a 15lb blanket who is a veteran and suffers from PTSD, dementia, and major anxiety and my sister has said it was the best gift hes gotten in awhile, he sleeps and is actually resting when he sleeps now. we highly recommend
