Good for small space. Firm but comfortable for sitting, lounging, or sleeping. There is only room for two smaller people or one larger adult - this is not as large as what you usually expect from a 2-seater sofa - but as long as you know that before purchasing, it is a great option for a small space. The fabric is a soft, low velvet. Cushions are pretty firm but decently comfortable. The back is short for sitting, but this is not really made for deep lounging (you'd want a different furniture piece for that).
Very easy to open and close the pull out bed! It's incredibly lightweight but sturdy and supportive. I have never encountered a pullout bed that is this easy to open or close! Even my 6yo can do it with ease.
We got this for a spare bed and seat in the office. It's great for short term guests or those nights when your spouse needs to sleep in a different room. (My husband has been quite comfortable and slept less disrupted on nights when I struggle with insomnia or other things.", and it's comfortable and private so I don't feel guilty like I have kicked him to some uncomfortable couch. Win-win!
Technically, it could sleep two smaller people or kids, but I wouldn't suggest an adult who has outgrown standard teen size to share.
Bonus features include cup holders in each arm rest - fyi, the arm rests are simple and square-ish, not cushioned at all - as well as a phone holder arm that can adjust for viewing while lounging. Those are popular with the kids when they feel like hanging out while we're trying to get through work.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a versatile piece for a small room
