MXL 550/551 Red Microphone Ensemble

For under $100 you get a set of two nice mics. The 550 is tailored towards vocals and does a quite an admirable job. The 551 is a smaller condenser mic that is for musical instruments. Both mics have heavy metal "no pun intended" construction. Also comes with carrying case, mounting hardware for both, and a cleaning cloth. If you trying to put together a budget recording set up, then its not a bad investment. There are many out there who would steer you away from inexpensive mics like these. I have no illusions about the quality. Sure they're are many far better microphones out there, but then again you have to cough up some extra cash to score them. Something you might not have till you get that professional gig. I have absolutely zero regrets about this purchase, and would do so again without reservation.
