My Critter Catcher Spider & Insect Catcher

I can't believe it! I'm still shaking. I have a severe fear of giant insects. There was one in my bathroom just a few minutes ago - a spider. if I didn't own my catcher, I would've run from the bathroom screaming because I don't wanna get close to a bug that large. What's wonderful here is that the catcher has a long reach so I don't have to get close to the spider to remove it. It worked beautifully! I am so thrilled…and relieved! Best purchase ever.

The best tool I have bought in years! It works just as well and easily as the adverts would have you believe. Well made. My only complaint is the silly sticky-back hang hook that comes with it. It is useless because the sticky stuff on it won't adhere to, well, much of anything. They could have just left that out! But the tool itself is wonderful.

I hate bugs. I use ortho Home Defense like crazy, so there's always bugs- usually dead but not always. This thing grabs them like a champ. I seriously don't know why I didn't get it sooner. I'm getting one to keep at work too!

Saved countless insects I would other wise have had to had killed

This is a really cool tool, but so far to me it doesn't work well for small spiders. It is probably more effective for large spiders, similar size or larger than the demo spider. This tool may also be good at grabbing other objects too.

If you are short like me (I'm 4'11) this thing is useless, and shortness isn't the only problem. To catch the critter, you have to completely surround it with the bristles so no angle (like in a corner will work). It looks much longer in the picture but it is only 24 inches long. So for me to use it, the spider would have to be on the wall, at eye level, NOT on a ceiling. Even though I can reach the ceiling in areas that have no furniture in the way, you have to catch it straight on, so if you miss, the spider or critter is bound to fall on you or in your hair. I bought it because I had one over my bed last week, and the week before, in my living room right in the corner above my computer (which I was sitting at). Thinking this was the perfect item to buy was wrong. I can't reach either place with the critter catcher.

Does not open and close smoothly, cant return it because its opened! Took 20+ tries to pick up a medium sized insect! That is after 100% successful practice with the fake spider they sent with it. Seemed to still cause injury.

Don't buy, it's not worth it! Bristles were bent and would only pick up HUGE bugs.
