Wow! My daughter really enjoys this doll. It has so many features and accessories. Her favorite is that she has pierced ears AND you can change the earrings yourself AND it comes with 2 extra pairs! Super fun. The outfit is super cute and is interchangeable with other 18 inch dolls and their clothing. The quality is good and nice for younger girls. Her arms and legs and head all move to pose her in different positions. This doll is really cute and ton of fun!
I am teaching my daughter about how everyone is different so I got her this doll. I think it looks so beautiful and they did such a wonderful job with all her features. She has on some super cute clothes also and she a pretty good size. I love that it can also make little girls that can relate to this doll feel beautiful and confident! She comes with super fun accessories also.
First of all, I'm so glad they came up with this doll. It really brings attention to a very serious illness that is seldom discussed. It also helps end stigma against children who are battling such illnesses and ones who have survived. The quality is high, and the accessories help round out the whole outfit. Overall this is a fantastic buy.
My children's grandmother is going through chemotherapy and lost all of her hair, so I was excited to see this "Survivor" doll being offered as they love dolls and I was hoping it would help them cope with this change. This doll is fantastic! It comes with an outfit, earrings, headband, and even a tiny pencil and notebook. The kids were thrilled and truly enjoy swapping out all the accessories. At night they even tuck her into the box that she came in, which is the perfect size for a bed. All the pieces appear well made and are age-appropriate. Having bought many other expensive 18" dolls in the past this one has completely surpassed all expectations. The doll is soft, yet feels of good quality. It has brought a lot of joy to my children and has really helped reduce the stigma that is often associated with an individual experiencing hair loss. I really applaud this company's effort to help normalize people of all looks. I received this product for free courtesy of the Walmart Spark Reviewer program but all opinions are honest and are my own.
This doll is very unique. I love the idea of making a doll for cancer awareness. With so many affected by cancer it is fantastic that we have a doll like this for kids to relate to when faced with illness. She is lovely. My daughter loves all the accessories that comes with her and she understands how special she is after we had our own talk about cancer and other illnesses. She comes with a note pad and pencil, headbands, earrings, and a hat. She has moveable arms, neck and legs to pose. Her eyes also open and close as she is stood up and lays down. She is easy to wipe clean when needed and fits nicely with other accessories carried for my life dolls. I did recieve this item in exchange for my honest opinion and I do recommend it.
My husband is a cancer survivor and we have a young daughter who has had several friends that have been diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, some have not survived and some are still fighting their battle. We live in an area that is being investigated as a “cancer cluster” because a large number of children have cancer. I never knew that a doll like this existed. I thought this would be a great doll for my daughter to have to learn more about the struggles her dad had gone through and to be more knowledgeable about her friend's health conditions. The doll comes with a head with no hair which is common in those who are undergoing chemotherapy treatments. It does have painted on eyebrows and eyelash details with glued on eyelashes. Her eyes open and close when she is moved into flat or upright positions. She also comes with a blue hat with white polka dots, 2 headbands with bows, a purple elastic survivor bracelet, 3 pairs of changeable earrings (1 blue pair, 1 pink pair and 1 yellow pair), a dairy and a pretend pencil for the doll. She comes dressed in a pair of jeans with heart details on the lower legs and a blue shirt with an inspiration quote on the front. The shirt says Fight Like A Super Hero with a gold glitter cancer ribbon and heart details that match the pants. She has pink glitter flat shoes and a beautiful pink sequin jacket with 3 non-functioning button details. Her head, arms and legs are rigid plastic. She has a soft torso. She stands 18 inches tall and can wear most other clothes or use accessories for that size doll. My daughter loves this doll and takes her everywhere she goes. It has made her feel more comfortable with such a scary disease and she loves to inform others on what this doll represents.
No matter what the situation is good to let kids know they are not alone. Children always like to see something that reminds them of themselves. It's great for children to see beauty in themselves. Let them know they're beautiful with or without hair. Sick or healthy. You are beautiful.
Inspiring , courageous and educational as well. Beyond play, the doll is a teachable moment and a welcome addition to the My Life As family
I have a four year-old granddaughter and I'm a breast cancer survivor. This doll was perfect to explain to my grandbaby. The reason why I lost all of my hair, beautiful baby.
i do cancer baskets n thought this would be good for one of the baskets. disappointed that the packaging was pretty smashed from shipping n the packaging was so so in the first place. It was at a good price but would not look at it twice if the price was higher.
