excellent unit small but accurate and easy to use----easy to keep clean---love the option of battery or electric

I've already sliced 2 loaves of sourdough and it works great. I cut each sandwich sized loaf in half to make slicing easier, as the loaves were very tall. I prefer half slices of sourdough! I'll also be using it for block chedder cheese!

This is a very user friendly scale. Easy to clean, not bad looking if it needs to be stored on the counter, seems to be very accurate. The wide range of measurements is useful as well.

Absolutely LOVE this scale. It runs off batteries or with the included AC adapter. Has accurate measurements and absolutely love the protective shields. Best scale I have ever purchased.

I've been making handmade soap for almost seven years now and I've used basic kitchen scales. Recently, I had two bad batches back to back and it was due to improper measurements. I decided to give this scale a try and I am so glad that I did! The scale itself is lightweight and portable. There was some assembly required. I like that I'm able to either plug in the scale or use batteries. This scale is easy to use and clean. I love the cover of protection for the tare section. The accuracy is unmatched!! It's very sensitive and ACCURATE!! This scale is worth every penny! I absolutely love it!

I don't like to receive any product that is not sealed as far I'm concerned it could be used I know for sure that was opened because it was no battery in the box You can't blame the the delivery person because the Al side box was sealed from now on i don't want any product that the inside box is not sealed thank you Sal

This is a product that appears to have been value engineered to the point of being junk. I was disappointed in the lack of ruggedness the moment I took it out of the box. I read the instructions thoroughly and then attempted to power it up from the AC adapter with no luck. I tried another known good outlet with no luck. I tried with batteries with no luck. I inspected the DC input jack and verified it is undamaged with nothing out of place. I verified 4.9V out of the AC adapter. I put the batteries back in and verified 4.1V from terminal to terminal across all three cells. I then went to the manufacturer's web page, found the FAQ, and saw the lengths they go to to describe all the ways this scale can easily be fatally damaged, including shipping. One suspected problem is the manufacturer's box was put into a larger shipping box without any filler material and so it likely bounced around a lot in shipment, a scenario described by MyWeigh on their website. MyWeigh goes on and on about all the ways USPS/UPS/customers can fatally damage their product but if they invested half that energy into designing a rugged product maybe it wouldn't be such an issue. MyWeigh mentions that "fully 60%" of returns are battery issues yet they skip some really basic manufacturing details like putting the battery orientation on the battery compartment lid. That is a fundamental detail on any battery operated product. They describe how low battery state can cause problems yet they chose a 3 battery design instead of 4, which would provide a lot more battery capacity margin before the voltage regulator's dropout voltage would be reached and avoiding a lot of low-battery issues. The unit is really flimsy and seems poorly designed in general so it seems MyWeigh chose to invest in value engineering and explaining away product failures on their FAQ web page instead of designing and manufacturing a quality product. For what it's worth, I'm returning this $46 scale for my money back and I gladly paid $214 for an Ohaus Valor 1000 V12P3 in its place. This KD-8000 was the first and last product I will ever buy from MyWeigh and HBI Technologies. That is the danger of value engineering. Your CPAs and MBAs will multiply cost savings by historical unit sales and tell you how much profit margin the value engineering will add but they never account for the lost sales due to lost customers. Lost customers and reputational harm are really hard to fix. I'm just waiting for my RMA and my dead KD-8000 will be going back to Wal Mart.
