love this product
I tried this sunscreen as a last resort and I am so glad that I did! Initially it did take me a while to get used to it; as it was thicker than I am accustomed to but I kept using it. Now I cannot imagine life without it! This sunscreen also held up quite well in the Texas heat this past summer. I am looking forward to trying it out in sunny Southern California as my final test.
I, too, am in love with this product. This sunscreen goes on so well. I find that it's best to wait about 5 minutes after you apply it before you start putting on make up. Every other sunscreen that I have ever tried makes my skin look dull and funky, I had all but given up, but this stuff not only wears well and looks good but I'm a fair redhead and I've been amazed at how well it protects my skin
I'm in my 30's with oily blemish prone skin. I'm always nervous to try new products on my face, but this has been great. I use this in place of a moisturizer and my skin has been incredibly happy with MyChelle products. I like that this sunscreen leaves my skin so smooth. I use mineral makeup and I've noticed that this sunscreen feels like I'm using a primer.
I've been using the Mychelle SPF 28, and I certainly like it more than other similar sunscreens. But this -- this is pure win. There's no whiteness at all, and it actually feels like it's nourishing my skin, not drying it out. I have such an issue with sunscreens drying out my skin in the Colorado heat. This goes on like a moisturizer, and makeup glides on for me -- it's like a primer. Yes, this sunscreen is more expensive, but it's something I use everyday and it's worth the extra price. Well done, Mychelle -- please don't ever stop making this product!
I've been using Replenishing Solar Defense for several years and I love it! I wear it with my tinted moisturizer every day and it does the job to protect my face and neck areas especially when I kayak. I like it because it doesn't have any harmful chemicals, uses zinc oxide for UVA/UVB protection with an SPF 30. It goes on smooth and doesn't clog my pores. I wouldn't want to be without it!
I've hunted high and low for an all-natural, effective sunscreen that's light enough for daily use and doesn't clog my pores. MyChelle comes through once again! I love that it's not full of chemicals and doesn't dry out my skin, too. I used to hate the feel of heavy sunscreen on my face, itchy and greasy. This is the ONLY sunscreen I allow on my face because it works and feels good.
Ive made it a project this summer to try out all the MyChelle sunscreens and competing mineral SPFs, and this one has turned out to be my favorite! Ive found the tinted version to be a little too warm for my (pale, cool-toned) skin, and Im sure everyone is familiar with the usual zinc sunscreen issues. This one is not like that! I can use a whole half teaspoon on my face without it leaving a white cast. It dries down to a beautiful matte finish without pilling or drying me out. Im still testing out the MyChelle Sun Shield but so far I like this the best! Ill still probably use less-expensive options some days but this will be what I reach for on days I want to look my best.
Overall a very good product--all zinc oxide, very moisturizing, goes on clear, and no strong fragrance. I could even use it near my very sensitive eyes. Suitable for dry, cold weather for normal skin. The only drawback is the paste is a bit hard to squeeze out compared to the regular Solar Defense SPF 28 and needs a little warming up to spread. Could be made a little easier to spread without pulling on the skin. I'll definitely buy it again.
I tried a sample and liked it, so I went on the website to look at reviews. This item is clearly listed as gluten free, yet has barley listed as one of the ingredients!! I ran to wash off my face and hope it doesn't cause any dermatitis herpitiformis! I trusted this company to be gluten free and understand what that means. Now I feel that I need to question other ingredients or just change brands. Very disappointed and it is a shame be because the consistency of the cream was good :(.
