The perfect universal device for work and games.

Bruce Litwack December 7, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is the perfect combination of quality and efficiency. The screen is absolute perfection and the speed of the computer can handle all work and gaming needs. The keyboard has a great tactile feel and responds well to rapid keystrokes. The backlit keyboard offers endless colorful changes that provides increased visibility during low light situations. The decision to make this purchase was based upon dozens of hours of research for a dual functional device that was technologically up to date, reliable and reasonably priced from a solid and reliable company. This laptop will provide me with an excellent work device and also allow me to easily enjoy my gaming hobby. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who desires a “cake and eat it too” device.

found my design workstation

J Henson January 14, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to upgrade my 4 year old Legion and bought this new workstation. This new workstation flawlessly runs my architectural design and modeling applications at top speed...fantastic! Plus lots of storage with 2 TB, so I can focus on creating.

Everything I wanted and more!

GDCL March 28, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a faster computer that could handle graphics and video work. I also do a lot of business stuff (MS Office, Adobe), but wanted a computer that could handle the work load. This computer does what I needed and SO much more! It's ridiculously fast, and it's great to know I can expand the memory if necessary in the future. I'm VERY pleased with this purchase!

Great addition to the Lenovo family

BillR4 September 9, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fan of Lenovo laptops for years and the Legion series are a great addition. I like the clear display, smooth keyboard and stellar extended warranty options. Anything portable has some amount of risk for damage from extensive handling and I purchased a 3year extended warranty too. It's like having a local IT shop a phone call away. This is my 2nd legion brand and I am very pleased with this system. If I had to complain about anything there is a utility to do general housekeeping that costs extra, I think it should have been included with the warranty.

A lot of computer for a great price!

Natedogg69 October 6, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After researching many different gaming computers I chose the Legion 5 with 3070ti. It had all the specs I was looking for without the bloated price and looks great. Power brick a bit large but otherwise amazing computer.

Near perfect laptop

Petar N September 26, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched to this laptop after dealing with numerous issues on a Razer Blade 15 (2020) for a couple of years. It's only been about a month, but it's been a great experience. Good performance in games, good screen, not too loud, and I have found typing on the keyboard to be very satisfying. Having most of the ports in the back of the device is also ideal both in terms of comfort and aesthetics, in my opinion.

I like it. Not the best touchpad.

schoko April 8, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had mine a few weeks but I like it. The only negative thing is I'm not a fan of the touchpad for clicking and navigation. It could depend on the user too but it doesnt work well for me. The fan isn't as loud or noticeable as I worried it would be from other reviews. The laptop does get a little warm even idle/charging, but I'm not using it heavily yet. I did know I'd be sacrificing mobility/battery life for the power/productivity, and I wanna say maybe it gives 2-3 hours unplugged.

Legion 5i is for more than gaming

LBenton February 13, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Searching for a long term laptop led me down the rabbit hole of performance options and balancing a reasonable price. Hence the legion 5i. I'm not a gamer or a browser of trinkets. I do however have a big love for music. Both listening to and playing music has developed into a large collection of songs, lyrics, endless set lists, band photos and various information. Not to mention protools recording software and the like. So I needed something up to date to last long term with a good amount of storage space. I believe this was my best choice around $1700. A "gaming " computer is just a term. No I don't need awesome graphics for what I'm doing but hey.. Look at all the guts. That's where it's at.

Disappointed on new model.

DerekS88 March 26, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was only available with a 3050ti for some reason on launch in US but I decided to take a chance on it anyway. Runs games well with the 3050ti at 1080p but struggles at 1440p which is the native resolution of the screen. Unfortunately had two qc issues with mine on arrival. Had some major backlight bleed on my panel which I know can vary. Also had a click issue with touchpad on bottom right corner. Sometimes Realtek with not recognize the onboard sound and have to reboot. To sum it up between the QC issues and the lower 3050ti gpu laptop at launch was a huge disappointment and decided to return. If you are looking for an improvement over last GEN you will also be disappointed. Wait for 3070ti version and QC issues to be resolved or you could also be disappointed.
