I have been using analog (mechanical) timers for years for my interior lamps. They are difficult to set for any specific on/off time, especially when the power flickers or you experience an outage. The TouchSmart digital is the only way to upgrade. It has presets or you can set the on/off time you desire. This is a great timer!

This timer is great and easy to program (instructions are pretty straightforward). The only trick to keep in mind is that your settings will take effect starting NEXT cycle - don't freak out if you can't see your lights responding immediately.

Very convenient. One does not have to go outdoors to put on or turn off the outdoor Christmas tree trees. Same thing for indoor lights. It's incredibly convenient.

The lights come on whether I'm home or not and when away I feel better knowing it turns off on a schedule. I can come home to a little house and not fumble in the dark when it's late.

I bought the timer to control the lights of our Christmas tree this year. It was simple and easy to use. The up and down arrows below the display set the current time. The preset time buttons make it super easy to have our lights come on in the evening and then again in the morning. I can also program my own times. The timer worked nicely and I think the cost is reasonable. We won't pack it away with the other Christmas stuff.

This was far easier than anticipated. You can set your own times, or you can select preselected times, and for Christmas tree, the preselected times were exactly what I needed! It sure beats all these yrs and going through many of the timers you have to raise or lower the tabs and set the time.

It was easy to set up and use. It's still working fine so far. If I need a second one, I would buy another one of this.

Great little timer. Selection of preset buttons, or set your own, custom times. It's been completely reliable, and a great buy, for the money.

You can set this timer to turn on and off at your custom settings or pre-set times. But if you want to turn it on in between your custom settings, it's causes the unit to turn on and off at random times after you've over ridden the settings. Not at all happy with this timer. Will return it for a different company's timer.
