it's the old fashioned screen door catch that works marvelously! used it in our chicken coop doors and it allows you to enter and exit but the door gets"caught" between the two rollers and doesn't "blow open" either way. Keeps our chickens in and other critters out. Walmart was the only retailer we could find that carried these for a very reasonable price. others were 6 times more expensive and not the same design.

I paid double the cost for a new catch, because the previous one only lasted two years. This was easy to install, and worked perfectly.... for a few days. It stopped closing. I oiled it, and now the last several days it has worked perfectly! A great snap shut. Would give 5 stars, except for that early issue. I'm hoping the oil permanently resolved that, but holding back one star to be sure.

It didn't work consistently. Sometimes it would close other times not. I tried adjusting four or five times, gave up and returned.
