I wasn't fan of Nabi 1, it was a slow unresponsive product, but this sequal is prime example how companies learn and envolve from their products. Its fast, reliable, responsive. My daughter is 5 and loves it. her 3 yr old sister has ipad 1 and prefers steal her sisters Nabi 2. They love play on internet and its safe, with two different kid safe browsers. Plenty memory plus get a good sd card for ur pictures movies and music so it doesn't take your internal storage way. Have a autistic child? this is good for them too. My three year old works it like pro and she is autistic. I vowed when I made my wife return the first generation not go back find something else for our daughter. Now I'm back with nabi and happy about it cause it gives my daughter so much to do. plus with ebooks meegenius which gives like 30 free books I don't have worry on my girls tearing apart the pages. As a Wal-Mart associate I highly recommend this gadget and been doing so for customers who asked for gadget ideas in the store only downside is the accessories only be bought from nabi store I wish they would let walmart sell them lol
This product is one of the best gifts for a kid who likes technology, loves to read, and wants to play games. All can be done with the Nabi2, a solid tablet that stands on its own. This full-featured Android tablet is fast and responsive and is a joy to use, even for adults. Bought it for my grandson who uses it every day. The Nabi2 is powered by a beefy quad-core 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. It possesses games like Angry Birds, DoodleJump, and Fruit Ninja. There are also demos of graphically intensive games like Riptide GP and music and video apps. The four primary educational apps: Math, English, Social Studies, and Science, offer activities and quizzes with online interface that allow parents to check childrens' progress. There is so much more to say about this product...but you'll have more fun finding out about it by using it. Buy it; you and your kids will love it!
My granddaughters love their nabi's. She was so disappointed when her screen cracked and it did not work. I ordered another nabi and got a free backpack with it so she can keep it safe. She was so excited when she got it that sahe had to play right away.
bought this for my grand son and he even sleeps with it. He rides in car with it. This is better than a baby sitter almost. My Grandson is full of energy and always moving, soon as he open his gift He wasn't even interested in any other gifts so my daughters was taking all the toys back and get a refund so that could buy a downloadable game for Nabi.
this product is awesome for young kids...love that my daughter can not access any websites she should not be on. however the screen doesnt move from one page to another with ease. we have to press a little hard on it to get it to work..other than that..pretty happy with it.
we bought this for our sons 6th birthday and he loves it...it is very easy to use...we done a lot of reviewing and comparing the nabi to the kurio and decided to spend the extra 50 bucks and get the nabi and boy are we glad that we did...the graphics and speed are amazing plus i love mommy mode! the only bad thing i can find to say is that the battery seems to go dead rather quickly but then again my son plays it ALL THE TIME so i guess that is to be expected....
This is by far the greatest tablet for any child and adult. Easy to set up and understand the functions. Previously bought the Ematic ProTab 2 and was not as functional and exciting as the Nabi. I have the Nabi 2 for three weeks and my son pulled the tablet while it was charging. The charging cable has the smallest connection which is a 5v plug. The connection head is the same width as the lead of a pencil. Why it couldnt it be a dedicated (USB) adapter likemy cell phone or a bigger gage adapter as a standered 9v 0r 12 v. It takes about 5and a half to 6 hours for a full charge. The design team should have changed this after the Nabi One. Radio shack does not carry that cable and or voltage so im stuck. I called nabi but it was friday night, lets seewhat happens. Over all best tablet ever fast downloading youtube videos.
My son loved his Nabi tab he got for Christmas until it started freezing and stopped working basically from the beginning. Eventually the screen completely froze and had lines though it. I called the Nabi cares line and was please with the friendliness of the people on the other side of the line. They were so nice. But then things quickly went downhill. I had to go through multiple phone call, on hold forever, send in photos (I guess they didn't believe me), and mail in my defective unit. They assured me it would take 1-2 business days to ship back the new unit once the old one was received. So I went to the Postnet store, boxed, insured (thank goodness) my unit and shipped it out. I got a call from postnet saying Nabi received it. I waited and waited and I never got a call from the Nabi company telling me they sent the new one out. So I called. Nabi told me that it had been signed for, then on the next call they told me it had never been received even though FEDEX said it was signed for. It sure seems like there is A LOT Of miscommunication in this company. All in all -there has been A LOT of problems, it never worked right from the beginning, It took over a month to get my son's nabi tab back, they told me they would ship it 1-2 day air and didn't, they told me they didn't get it and did. It seems like Nabi got too big for their britches too quickly. It was definitely not at fault of the phone people who have been so nice. But lack of communication within the company and "delivering" to customers, will definitely make me NOT buy another NABI brand product!!!
If you have never owned an Android powered device, then this review most likely won't make as much sense because you won't have the grounds to compare it. Issue 1 - This tablet can NOT access Google Play, their AppZone is what you are stuck with, there are very few apps for each age group, 90% of them cost, and chances of you finding anything name brand is slim to none. What makes this worse is I found 11 apps in the AppZone that are priced $3-$6 higher than they are in the Google Play Market (Android's Official Market). That was sickening. Even worse was when I found several more apps that are free in Google Play but were "Paid Apps" in the AppZone. Issue 2 - Nabi advertises and promotes their Spinlets TV show subscription, in this they show and list multiple cartoons available. After signing up I then find out that there advertising was false, as not all those shows were actually available. Had I known this, I certainly wouldn't have signed up. If you can get over the fact that you were 1. Lied to, 2. Being overcharged for Apps, 3. Being held back from thousands upon thousands of free children and adult apps that every other Android device has access to, then this is great, otherwise find a different solution. For the same price you can get a Nexus 7, which will provide you to all the advantages of Android at no extra price, will give you thousands of additional apps for all ages, and cause less headaches. They make the same or better quality bumper cases for the Nexus, and you can get several different Apps from Google Play (for FREE) that give you the same controls and more than the Nabi OS offers. So for the same price you can get so many more apps for your little one, and so many more options/settings/controls for your piece of mind. Owning both the Nexus and Nabi, as well as the Asus Transformer and having a 3 year background of selling/repairing/setting up Android devices, I can honestly say I would never have purchased this device if I realized how restricted it was or how much they overcharge, it honestly should not even remotely be considered an Android device.
I purchased this product for my toddler son. It didn't come on upon opening it. I charged it for an hour and I was able to set it up. After giving it to my son to use for his first time, it wouldn't turn on. I knew it had to still be charged because I turned it off after setting it up. I charged it again and it would come on sometimes after I pressed the power key and sometimes it wouldn't. After less than a week of the turmoil, back to the store Nabi goes!
