This was my sons christmas gift. He is 5. He loves it. This tabet is just as good as a Samsung tablet. You can use it for just about anything like an iPad too. Their is a mommy or daddy account so you can monitor what your child does. I get to choose what games and apps are on his own account. He learns off his tablet with all the downloaded games that came on it. I downloaded netflix on it for him and set it for kids netflix only. He can't get on the web. If he tries to do something he can't access, a protected password with prompt up :). I suggest you get the 2 year protection plan also. Ours cracked and they fixed it for us fast, and if you need a charger you can get a free one from the nabi website! You just have to enter your purchase info and serial number and they help you out !
I am a very long time nabi user going all the way back to the very first nabi Fuhu released back in December of 2011. When they released the nabi 2, both my kids were immediately upgraded from the original nabi. I loved how much faster it was than the original nabi. And the screen resolution was so much clearer. As a matter of fact, the nabi 2 was better than my adult tablet I was using at the time. So, I bought myself my very own nabi 2. There was one thing that has always been missing with the nabi 2 though. Storage space. ENTER NABI 2S! I always said if they would just make the nabi 2 with more storage it would be the perfect tablet. Now that it is here, I had to buy it! I have only had it for about 2 weeks now and have not had a chance to do a whole lot with it BUT just my initial use, I can see I am going to love it! It still has all the FoozKids, Wings Challenges, Google Play, Time Controls and all the good stuff that the nabi 2 offers. AND it has most of the features that you would find on the DreamTab and Big Tab. It has nabi Konnect, nabi utility apps and the DreamPro Studio apps. Huge Pro: The nabi 2S uses the same nabi connector as the DreamTab, nabi Jr., and nabi XD. Much more durable than the current charger for the standard nabi 2. Now for the cons. Because the nabi 2S does have all that good stuff preloaded it means that the 16GB of storage space got dropped down to just over 6 GB of free available storage space for you to use up. That doesn't sound like a whole lot does it? When compared to the standard nabi 2, it is about 2 GB more BUT this nabi 2S cost the same amount of money as the standard nabi 2 so you really can not complain to much. Well you can but it will not get you anywhere. For me, the extra 2GB will do. If my kids find themselves bored with 6 GB of games on top of the preloaded apps then it is time for them to go outside more anyways. If your child is one that enjoys those games that use up 1+GB of space for one game then I would look at getting them the nabi XD 32 GB anyways. You have to know what you are going to use the tablet for the most when deciding which nabi you want for your family. My kids are young and they still enjoy the small games. The two most used apps by my kids are Netflix and Minecraft. Right now, if I had my choice to buy the nabi 2 or nabi 2S, I would definitely buy the nabi 2S. If faced with the decision to buy the nabi 2S or the DreamTab, that one is a bit harder to decide. Depends on how old the child was. I would say for my 4 yr old, the nabi 2S but for my daughter who is 9 going on 10 I would stick with the nabi DreamTab. Would I recommend the nabi 2S? ABSOLUTELY!
I bought is product for my niece, so far I haven't heard anything negative about it. I know it has parent control on it and has lots of age appropriate games. Even if WIFI is not available your still able to use the apps on the tablet.
This is my son's second Nabi. He loves his nabi and this time we purchased the nabi headphones with the tablet and they work great and fit great. The Nabi 2s offers more memory space so my son can make videos which he enjoys very much. As he get's older we will probably get the dream tab. Nabi is a great tablet and I recommend it.
Walmart theirs a typo and it might frustrate a lot of people. The Nabi 2 doesn't come in a 16gb version. You would have to purchase the Nabi Jr. 16gb or the Nabi Dream Tab (which is 16gb) also they have other products with more storage. This one only comes with 8GB.
Bought this for my son for Christmas. He loves it (& so does the hubby & I) except the sound stopped working & only works when you have headphones plugged into it. I called Nabi and they had me reset it which didn't help, so they sent me a prepaid label to send it back & if it's not fixable they will send a replacement. Disappointed that this has happened & he's not happy it had to be sent back, but couldn't be happier with the customer service I received from them so far,
We bought this for Christmas as a gift for my son. First time of use, it took more then 4 hours to charge. After 3 weeks of using it, the nabi stops working. (The screen keeps going on and off) My son is almost 3 years old, which we only let him use it at least an hour per day. I don't highly recommend this item unless you put a insurance just in case you get a bad one! =-/
When we bought the Nabi 2, the big promise was soon the Nabi 2 would be compatible with Google Play. When Google play allowed Nabi 2 to download content I was very happy. The disappointment came when we purchased self reader eBooks from Google play and the folks at Nabi would not allow the self reader books to self read in the Child mode. This is very sad, especially since Nabi used the promise of the Google Play store as a selling tactic. Plus the proprietary charging cable is very poorly designed.
This is a absolute waste of money. This tablet was a headache from the beginning. After plugging in the headphones the sound stopped working so we downloaded an app that brought back the sound but then after screen went off we could not get it back on and it wouldn't even shut down. we are taking it back to purchase the Amazon Fire HD kids edition that has better reviews.
Loved the apps and concept behind the Nabi 2S, wonderful upgrade from the Nabi 2. However, purchased 3 on black Friday and let the kids have then early before Christmas. So far all three have been sent back as to Nabi as 2 had bad soundcards and one would not charge correctly. Very disappointed as the kids did really like them but all three not working hmmm, I would recommend this product but only after Nabi gets the bugs worked out....
