Once you open the package it fluffs up almost instantly. These memory foam pillows usually need to sit overnight but it barely took a few hours to be as plump as in the photos. There wasn't a weird chemically smell on them either so that was good. My husband with the spinal cord problems needed some stuffing removed. It was nice that the cover has another cover inside that you can unzip to remove stuffing in order to fit the pillow to your neck. I'm enjoying mine plump because it feels nice behind my back or on my side when I'm lying in bed while using my laptop. I washed a cover today just to see how it stood up and it seems to have not changed, except for getting softer. The fabric seems pretty sturdy and I really like the inner lining, as my other shredded memory foam pillows do not have one so it makes it more difficult to keep hygienic.

Its an amazing pillow and it can be adjusted for all sleeper types.
