I've been using these for about half a year now and let me tell you that because of these, I can never casually listen to music again wearing earbuds. The difference in sound quality is uncanny compared to anything else that I've tried. For example, I've tried the Bose AE2 headphones for a few weeks more for comfort, however I had always felt that sound quality was just lacking in crispness and clearness, and the sound was not FULL, rather dissonant. I mention this because these headphones surpass the sound quality on every level of those. Full sound, non-booming bass, and the perfect balance of frequencies. They are ridiculously comfortable and the around-ear feeling blocks a lot of outside noise out when listening to music, so you could say that they imitate noise-cancelling headphones. The white colour is gorgeous and does not cause the phones to get as dirty as you think they would. The cord is also very strong and durable. I would not like to say that these are meant for wearing outside, for example, walking, running, as they are big and heavy duty, but if you're one of those people who walks around all day with big headphones on, then go for it. These look awesome. The ONLY PROBLEM with these was when I first got them. There is a great deal of squeaking from the hinges when you turn your head even slightly, eat, or walk around with them (every step you take causes a squeak or noise), however, after AVID USE of them, it went away, or at least I think it did, because I do not notice it anymore. So if you happen to get annoyed by your headphones making noise, I would advise that you get a different model of Audio Technica headphones, because it will drive you insane with frustration. But the sound is what really counts, and the comfort, and I must say that these are more than excellent for listening to my classical, rock, and jazz music. I am very impressed with the quality that Audio Technica puts into their products, and after extensive use of these phones, I must say that I am very satisfied with the purchase. One thing that I'd fix is the creaking in the headphones, I'm not sure how. Perhaps it was only the model that I have, because I first tried these in the black version and I never heard any creaking.
I researched many pairs of headphones before I bought these. What I found was unanimous praise for the the M50s, regardless of price. I love knowing that I am hearing exactly what the artist intended, along being rewarded for choosing well recorded music played through quality gear. These seem to do it all, at a great price. Highly recommended!
I have had these for over a year now and they sound Amazing! I use them for everyday listening and monitors while playing bass on stage. They work great for both. They are so comfortable and I forget they are even on my head. I would recommend these to anyone. Definitely the best in their price range. PS They are super stylish and look incredible with the Blue and Tan. I get a lot of people telling me how good they look. I have the M50 coiled cable ones and they were so good that I bought these and gave the other ones to my friend just so I could have the removable cable. I couldn't be happier with them.
I've bought many different brand headphones over the years and have been disappointed many times over. Sometimes the bass is too heavy and other times the quality of sound in general is simply lacking. I've bought and given back many headphones until I found these. What incredible sound! It's pure and properly balanced so everything comes through loud and clear. I would highly recommend these to anyone that appreciate to hear how a song was meant to be heard. Im not pro but I'm incredibly picky about my sound quality and music experience.
I've been planning to own this headphones since a year ago and yesterday my workplace got me this, and i just tested it today. The detail, crisp, and ability to produce such low sound is so good on my ear. Also the design and build quality.... love it!
just had to write review since nobody had a review on the blue ones they're just blue they always come out with some type of special edition every year. My daughter has the gray ones that was last year's special edition mywife has th white ones and my son's got the regular black ones so I just bought these blue ones that way we can all tell them apart and who's who's but they all sound the same they're great I mean these 50s set a certain standard in audio world of headphones today I got gredos for some real good listening sessions at home with a nice headphone amplifier and DAC and all that good stuff but you know but I needed something to go with me everywhere and steel get that nice good sound quality. Just read about what everybody always says about these things I mean everybody can't be wrong , I know there is better cans out there you can't go wrong with these things just get them don't look back you'll be happy.
I bought my first pair (black version) about 5 years ago and they never ceased to amaze me everytime I put them on. The only reason I had to buy a new pair is because my old ones got stolen. The steal appeal is probably the only downside to these headphones. The sound quality is absolutely superb! I tend to have to blast my music in order to hear everything but don't need to with these, and when I do it doesn't strain my ears like most headphones. Although they aren't technically noise cancelling, they get pretty darn close at low music volumes. The sound muffling is also fantastic! I can listen as loud as I want to and no one around me can hear what I'm listening to. One of my complaints for the old pair was the annoying cable length but very excited for the new design with the 3 detachable cable options! The only other bad thing was that the earcups began to crack and become not as spongy but hey I had them for 5 years. I absolutely love and recommend these headphones and I know the several friends that bought theirs because of me would would too!
So I ended up purchasing these headphones on accident. My puppy chewed the cord off of a pair I previously had, some cheap AKGs I was frustrated with. So I did a lot of research for the best reviewed headphones, affordability and something that would give me a good response and block outside noise, since I am a drummer too. These ended up being the best headphones ever. They sound amazing and you can actually hear low end well, but not super loud like beats. It's a true flat response and it has actually helped me in producing better sounding music. I actually went back and listened to tons of music when I first got them, because I wanted to hear what a lot of my favorite tracks sounded like on them, haha. So definitely listened to some Noisia and Tipper, and it was awesome. I definitely recommend these to anyone. They also came with 3 different types of cable (length). So I can use one for my studio, one that I can take anywhere, and a back-up (the shortest one), The cables come off and you can replace them which is great. So, if my dog decides to chew off the cable again.....I can still keep these :)
I have been using it for 2 weeks and it sounds very good and has a rich bass.It is easy to carry and also is good to use in a lot of situation. Also I think it is a very good product overall considering the price. However I would like there to be a slightly bigger carrying bag for better fitting and also replacing the coil cable with the smartphone cable used in the MSR7 since that would make it a lot more convenient.
I bought it like in july , i have been using it for 2 months . The good things about this headphones is that , the audio is perfect compare to any other brand , like bose , the audio not really that good in bose . I have 1 cons : the pouch , the reason i write this is because the pouch , unlike the m70x , they have a portal bag , which is better than the pouch . The pouch size is a bit small , so its just nice to fit the headphones , but no space for the wire . this is the only cons .
