Great system purchased for my son he loves it and plus the game genie works with it. Only down side the controls that came with it are cheap and the directional button does not work correctly. Invest in some better controls and a great system for the price highly recommended.
So far so good….! Works better than expected. Works really well with older NES games but will be getting Sega Genesis and SNES games soon to test out. Also works with foreign games which is amazing
It was fast delivery.great parcel
Works well, feels a bit cheap and is missing a couple features that would make it perfect. But great value for what you get and an amazing system for all your retro game collections. Controllers could be better though, they feel incredibly light and small.
I purchased this console because my old NES is practically dead and I wanted something around that could play my old NES and Genesis games as well when my Genesis eventually goes too. This hits two birds with one stone and can also play SNES though I haven't tested it out yet. I can confirm it can play NES and Genesis games fairly well. Haven't tested all my games out but I do know that it doesn't play one game I have 100% properly (Skitchin' for Genesis). With that said I recommend this machine for those who like me fear their old machines may need to be replaced but still need something to play your old games with (it can also use the original machine's controllers) or if you want to get into the retro gaming world but don't want to invest in the original clunky machines that will eat up space on your shelf as well as your power bar and may not even work. You will still need to blow into your cartridges before using them but then no matter what machine you are using some things never change.
Bought this unit thinking it would save me from having 3 systems hooked up to the tv. While the Genesis and Snes worked some of the time via HDMI, the Nes wouldnt at all. Games were cleaned with pencil eraser as I always do. Blew on the contacts which usually always makes them work and nothing. I returned it to walmart! Too bad as its exactly what I wanted.
I tried AV, HDMI, tried different cables and ports. I could not get a single game to work except for a brief blip on one game that only lasted a moment. My games are clean, and contacts are fine. There was nothing wrong with any of the cords or connections on my end. Not sure if I just got a dud or if there is significant hardware problems but either way I am returning. Was pretty disappointed because I'm on isolation and was looking forward to playing my retro games. I'd stick with Hyperkin Retron instead of the Retrobit.
