The ER sent me home with 1 nose clip after an 8 hour bleed. I had a severe nose bleed and no clip which led to another 8 hour nose bleed. I was so glad to buy these clips! I have them on hand... I have been able to stop the prolonged bleeds by clipping my nose as soon as there is any sign of a bloody nose. I also put them in a travel little pouch just in case something happens while I'm out of the house. 👍🏼
there has always been a lot of nose bleeds around here. since I purchased these..we have not had another one! these were recommended to me..so now I'm prepared..
These are fantastic! I stumbled upon them while shopping online for first aid kit items and decided to give them a try. You look absolutely ridiculous with this thing shoved up your nostril, but no more so than tissue or a paper towel. Not only do they keep blood from getting all over you and your surrounding area, but they stop the blood at its source. The only drawback is that they are fairly expensive. If you have chronic nosebleeds, however, the first aid and convenience aspects of them are completely worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will be buying them again when we run out.
These little dudes are are amazing!! if you have issues with bloody noses, I cut them in half, put round end in nose and softly pinch nose together for a minute. leave it alone and it will stop the bleeding! Great product.
I had three ruptured blood vessels in my nose and the nose bleeds were intense. This product is amazing. It helped until the vessels were cauterized. I definitely recommend!
Had a spontaneous nose bleed about 6 months ago which lasted 4 weeKs . I bought 3 different products to stop the bleeding. Bleeding was heavy. And I had a clotting strip in my nose more than not during this time. This was not my 1st time fighting a severe nose bleed out of the blue. Last week , again out of the blue my nose started to bleed. Fortunately I had a box of Nampons still on hand. It stopped the bleeding immediately and hasn't come back in 10 days. Really worked.
For a nosebleed that is likely from a broken blood vessel in your nose the blood will pour out of the nostril rapidly. The docs say to sit straight up, hold your nose tightly near the bridge, and wait 15 minutes and the bleed to have stopped. If not, continue holding the nose for another 15 minutes and if it still hasn't stopped seek medical care. I had nosebleeds every day for a week and neither ER visit got the broken blood vessel cauterized. That took a separate trip to an ENT doctor - and that solved the problem. But I found that these nampons helped. Insert them into each nostril (as the blood is usually coming out both nostrils) and the nampon will quickly fill up with blood and stop the bleed. The nampon does have an anti-coagulant on the end of it to help the bleeding to stop. After having the blood pour out of my nose around the nampon until it became full of blood and then was lodged firmly in my nose stopping the bleed, I usually rapidly filled the nampon by putting it under water and then jamming it into my nostril which had the benefit of more quickly stopping the bleed. Or a person could just stick the nampon into the nostril and use a thick pad of kleenex to stop the blood from running down the face until the nampon completely inflates by filling with blood. But don't expect the ER to cauterize the broken blood vessel in your nose as they did for me 35 years ago. Apparently too many people got injured by ER docs not cauterizing broken blood vessels properly, so ER docs stopped being trained in cauterization. Follow up with a professional.
I'll admit I was skeptical about this item, but the nampons worked well. They were a little large and uncomfortable to put in my nose, but stopped the bleeding and kept the blood from coming out.
On 2 separate occasions, I had to use multiple tabs to stop the bleeding, and it took at least a half an hour to work. Bleedstop works literally in seconds and only had to use 1 application. While nampons do work (eventually), I would recommend bleedstop instead. I am on blood thinners.
A non-Walmart distribution center product which you can't trust their (online) order, shipping method, timing, and tracking!
