Nanit Sound Machine and Night Light

I bought this for my daughter because she's having a baby girl in september. she bought this for one of her girlfriends and her friend raved about it so my daughter put it on her baby registry

Our family loves the Nanit sound and light! It's simple and easy to use , which I love! You can charge it up, so you can use it without the cord which I also love (incase the power goes out, it still works!). 10/10 definitely recommend!

I have been using my sound and light machine every night. Its a great, easy tonise product. With all the night time feedings, the adjustable light makes it easy to see what I'm doing while keeping it dark enough to get my baby easily back to sleep. The different sound options are great too for added comfort. I have my machine to automatically start playing at a certain time to help me keep on track of bedtume routines.

This Sound and Light machine has been amazing for helping with our sleep routine. I love the Routine setting that automatically turns on and almost acts like a reminder for us for my baby's naps and nighttime routine. I love the different sound options, including white noise and waves.

Now we can monitor our baby sleep, naps, control the sounds that he hears and the brightness and color of his light from the palm of our hand. We can monitor as much or as little as we want from anywhere since the app is so easy to use and all you need is internet of any kind. The app is so easy to use that even my mother who is 70 years old and lives in Argentina, came to help with the baby and loved the Nanit so much that she continues to monitor Felix from across the globe and even bought a Nanit for my niece who was just born and also lives in Argentina. The Nanit not only monitors the baby movement, but also any sound, and it provides a cristal clear image so you can see everything that is happening. The Nanit Baby Monitor and Sound + Light Machine is an absolute game changer providing peace of mind when you need it the most. If you want to be able to sleep while taking care of a newborn, the only way to do it is by purchasing this amazing device. You will thank me later.

We had a Hatch Rest+ for our first kid and when we switched to the Nanit system when we had our second, we decided to get these as well. They work great. Very easy to program, use, and connect with the camera. And our toddler loves being able to know when to get out of bed. It's a very compact and clean looking light and we love the features on the app as well. Only thing that we would change is it is slightly cumbersome having two different apps (one for the light and one for the camera).

Another feature we love is the customizable light color options. It allows us to adjust the lighting to create the ideal environment for both playtime and bedtime. The soft glow is just right for nighttime feedings and diaper changes, helping maintain a peaceful atmosphere. However, one feature we wish the Nanit could improve is the ability to set a specific time to turn off the clock display. This would be similar to what the Hatch offers and would help minimize distractions during the night as we settle down for sleep. As it stands, the display stays on throughout the night, which can be a bit bright in a dark nursery. Overall, the Nanit sound and light machine excels in sound quality and lighting options. With a few tweaks, it could be the perfect all-in-one device for any nursery!

I like that it has its own app and can also be controlled in the nanit app. I love that you can pick from a range of colors but it was difficult to get the color I wanted (what I selected on the screen was not what showed up on the sound machine-color was off), but eventually I figured it out. I like that I could set times to turn the sound and colors on/off at a specific time. It was one less thing to remember while having a newborn. Overall, very happy with the product.

The Nanit Sound + Light is great for a 'smart' sound machine, but does have a learning curve to it and you should be mindful of who's going to be using this device. Like other modern 'smart' devices, sometimes these things prioritize design over function. As a result, easily accessible physical buttons are lacking and control is based on using the app, and your pre-emptively learning how to use the 1-second, 2-second, etc. touches to the top the unit. My wife and I had to read the instructions clearly and practice using the machine. Unfortunately, there is little likelihood that grandparents are going to get comfortable with either the app or touch-sensitive buttons, so they rely on us to turn it on and off for them. Otherwise, great sound and light, fun to use, but one of those things that I wish the designers prioritized ease of use more -- especially for a user-group who's likely already committing some hands and attention to babies, bottles, diapers, etc.
