Se are incredibly Japonski with out Napoleon Professional 18” Charcoal Kettle. It is perfect for preparing all kinds of diverse dishes, handling everything beautifuly. The absolute highlight is the čast-iron gate. It retains heat incredibly well and leaves perfect sear marks. The build quality and temperature control are also top-notch. Highly recommended.

4 th of July shakedown grill-o-rama. Flank steak & veggies were perfect. I really like the temperature gauge indicating cooking modes-- smoke & sear etc. It's very solidly built & well designed. Will be using it as my summertime kitchen!

I've been using this weekly ever since I bought it a month ago. It's a perfect size for cooking for 2-3 people. It's great for grilling(the grill marks are awesome from the cast iron grates) and I've also been smoking on it. With the standard 2-zone setup, I smoked 1 rack of ribs no problem. With a heat deflector, I've been able to fit 2 baby backs (with 1-2 end ribs cut) side by side and there were some room for some snacks in the leftover space. I really like the 3 height settings to make smoking easier. I also like the fact that we can run wires for the thermometer. The built-in thermometer is inaccurate depending on which grate setting you use. I've noticed about 25-50 degree difference between the temp on the highest grill grate setting and the thermometer. One thing I don't like is that there are 2 holes for the rotisserie attachment that lets smoke escape. But I just plugged them with some tinfoil and it works out. Also, this is common for all kettle grills but some smoke does escape from the lid. I put in a felt gasket and haven't had an issue since. I think the size is great and if you're smoking and want the full use of the entire grill grate, it's possible despite the lack of accessories for 18in grills. I would buy the steel napoleon grill grate and a 14-16inch pizza stone. The cast iron grate can be set at the most bottom setting with the pizza stone on top to act as a heat deflector while you put your proteins in the second grate at the highest setting. You can even put a drip pan on top of the pizza stone. So while 22inch grills have more accessories, you can be creative and improvise. So if you don't think you will ever need a 22 inch grill, then this one is the best 18 inch grill out there.
