Napoleon 22 in. PRO22 Kettle Charcoal Gril with Cart in Black

After a couple of hours of carefully following instructions (some images require careful scrutiny to ensure correct orientation of some parts) and assembling the Pro22, it is clearly a very well made and thoughtfully designed product. I have used the BBQ just once thus far, and found it to be easy to operate and it produced excellent results (using Napolean Lumpwood charcoal). I previously used another leading BBQ brand, which gave good service, but the Napolean feels to me like a superior product. I am looking forward to using it time and time again in the future, and would highly recommend the product to friends.

Did a ton of research before purchasing the Pro22 w/cart model, and really happy with the final decision. Still getting used to the temperature settings, which will take time to master. I also purchased the grill cover, drip trays, cast iron reversable griddle, and charcoal baskets for indirect cooking. The griddle covers most of the grille, which is great, as I am not a big fan of charcoal black marks on my food (not the healthiest to eat that). Easy to clean up as well. Overall, 5 stars to this great kettle.

Just amazing. Great grill. Solidly built. Great performance. Best grates in this style. Kind of found the assembly instructions a little lacking in clarity. One of my legs is in the wrong position and it will be a giant pain to move it.

The best charcoal yeah

This is an absolutely amazing grill. This is my second “Kettle” style charcoal grill and by far the best. The construction is sturdy, sleek and feels like it will last forever. The cast iron grates are an absolute game changer over stainless steel. They provide a much better sear and cooking experience. Adjustable airflows at the top and bottom really help with dialing in the temperatures you want. Lastly the hinged lid is such a luxury to have instead of trying find where to put a life or risk burning your arm sliding it into a side spot like competitors have is something I couldn't live without now!

Awesome machine with great performance build quality is great , assembly is not clear from the factory booklet so it will take guesswork specially on the leg placement, another quirky part are the clips that hold the ash collector to the bottom crate , had to modify it quickly since it will fall off everytime the crate is moved ( Napoleon please fix) controlling temperature will take practice , bottom vent will move without any interference keep an eye on it , thermometer is taking on moisture but will keep an eye out for damage. Overall very satisfied, also have a Kamado Joe so not a novice.

Nice, heavy duty kettle. Good ash management. Excellent cast iron, 3 position grate. Cart is also well made and useful. Only thing that could be improved would be an offset top vent - it's dead center.

This kettle grill is great! Lots of room, great fire control, love the cast iron grates. The cart rolls very easily, is very sturdy, and has a ton of space to store accessories. The huge side table is so convenient. If I had to ask for 1 more option, it would be a place to hang the grates while cleaning or setting up your charcoal.

Once built, the grill seems solid. The issues are with the parts and instructions. Instructions call for a 7/16 wrench for the wheels. The wheels actually take a 9/16. I have no idea what step 28 wants me to do (see photo). I was short washers and had to go to the local hardware store just to complete the build. I have a left-over bracket (holder?) that is not referenced anywhere in the instructions. A great grill but at this price point to have so many QC issues is very, very disappointing.

Not as good as the main competitor. Heavy iron grates that are impossible to move when hot, even harder to clean. No offset vent on top, dead center which makes zero sense for smoking. Lower charcoal grate has a big lip around the edge which prevents accurate charcoal placement against the side of the kettle for offset cooking. I could go on. Really regret this purchase, should have just bought a new performer to replace my nearly 25 year old model instead of this. So much for buying Canadian.
