After spending time with the Freestyle™ 425, I can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations. The grill heats up quickly, reaches high temperatures with ease, and maintains consistent heat across the cooking surface. Whether I'm grilling steaks, burgers, chicken, or vegetables, everything cooks evenly and comes out with excellent flavor. The build quality is impressive. The grill feels solid, the controls are smooth and responsive, and the stainless steel cooking grids produce beautiful sear marks while being easy to clean. I also appreciate the thoughtful design, from the folding side shelf to the convenient ignition system and built-in temperature gauge. Assembly was straightforward, and it's easy to move around the patio thanks to the sturdy locking casters. Cleanup after grilling is simple, making it a pleasure to use on a regular basis. The Freestyle™ 425 combines outstanding performance, quality craftsmanship, and user-friendly features into a grill that I'm confident will provide years of enjoyable outdoor cooking. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable, high-performing gas grill.
Very happy with the size, the even cooking, easy lighting and how easy it cleans in between grilling. Not as easy as stainless but that’s ok! It’s a great size and takes up less space than our 16 year old napoleon premier! I’m very happy and would recommend this model.
Looks great, the assembly wasn't difficult but took some time. The ignition on the burners is fantastic and is so much easier than my old BBQ and it heats up very fast. I'm very pleased so far and if it lasts 10 years like my old BBQ, I'll be happy. Also bought the rotisserie but haven't tried it yet.
After much research I decided to purchase a Napoleon Freestyle 425 and I'm very pleased with my choice.
We had a chance to recently try it out and it has great heat distribution and have really enjoyed our first meal on it!
Solid grill, easy to assemble (even for one person), cooks marvellously, cleans up well with the drip tray and removable splash tray under burners. I would however suggest the installation of 4 revolving wheels as moving the unit with a propane bottle installed is very awkward due to the weight. There are no handles at the sides to obtain a firm grip which also makes moving the unit difficult.
The best BBQ I have ever owned. Time will tell on longevity. The only negative I have is that the wavy grill shape while it looks neat is not easy to clean.
Works great. Would be nice to see some grills with the old style cast covers instead of the flimsier ones seen today.
I bought this grill in March 2026. It arrived on time and package was in good shape. We opened it up and there was damage to the lid and frame though the box was undamaged. We decided it was cosmetic and put it together. The quality is WAY lower than expected for the price. The door design is awkward and fell off repeatedly because of poor design. We cooked on the grill TWICE. Both times it would not cook on anything but high. When we tried to cook on a lower setting, all the burners went out. obviously a regulator problem. And it ruined our dinner twice. We've been using gas grills for 25 years and never had this happen to this extent. Then, the door fell off again and we returned it. Not cool. We spent a lot of money on this grill hoping for a long lasting product. It lasted less than the $20 Walmart grill. ut, we realized after returning it ALL grills are made so flimsy now-a-days! I do hand it to Napoleon for good customer service.
The Napoleon 425 freestyle I purchased is not what I was expecting. It's difficult to light difficult to maintain the quality of the steel that goes into. It is substantially less than what I was expecting from the Napoleon name. Had I know then what I know now I probably would've not have bought a Napoleon.
