Very pleased with this grill. Heats up quickly and maintains even temperature across the whole grilling surface . It's a good quality grill.
This is the best bbq I have ever owned. I have only used it a few times and love it. It is well built and better made than my previous grill.
Beautiful grill that works amazing. Very happy with my purchase and love the warranty as well.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) While I am unable to review a new Rogue BBQ, I am able to tell you about my 27 year old equivalent. It has stood the test of time. Mine is natural gas with 2 burners and an infrared for the rotisserie. The rotisserie is one of my favourite features. I have done many roasts, Cornish hens and chicken using the rotisserie and every time they turned out perfect. I drove the neighbours crazy with the cooking aromas. The reason I am able to enter this contest is due to my online shopping for a new grill….it's time, even though I am still able to use my old one I would like something new.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) One full year using it. Now i know the difference between a cheap grill and a napoleon. I love my bbq
This is without a doubt the best grill I have ever owned. Going into my 2nd year with it now. And Yes, I use it all winter. However....it has the absolute WORST ignition system I have ever seen on a grill. If I can get a burner to light in less than 10 tries, I feel like I've won the lottery. Gave up trying. Bought a hand-held lighter.
Well built grill Great for what I need nothing fancy just straight forward Louisiana grilling while we're Chillin' Steak, Seafoods, Pig, Yardbird, Veggies And BEEF!! Bought a rotisserie kit and basket love it works great May up grade someday to rear burner!
Have used it 3 nights a week for about 4 months and had no major issues. The design makes it easy to clean - important as we use lots of marinades and sauces. The plastic clip that secures the gas line inside the cabinet breaks easily and should be re-engineered - otherwise all other components are good quality.
Fairly straight forward to put together. The plastic clip to hold propane line to body was a little difficult to snap into slot. I did get it but I broke the prong. No big deal as line can remain a safe distance away from grill and or doors. You do need to undo the hose for side burner as I found it a little tight to work with full length.
The Rogue 425 with sideburner was purchased to replace my similar stainless steel Napoleon Triumph 425 unit that had completely disintegrated from rust (it was well cared for, covered all the time but the guts deteriorated after only a few years). The Rogue is okay. It's a great size, heats okay (doesn't seem to be as hot at the Triumph) but heats up quickly, has one nice large cabinet door underneath instead of two, is much taller than the Triumph (which I don't mind at all) and it rolls around very nicely with bigger and easier locking wheels. I'm still trying to decide whether I like the all black enamel coating versus stainless. It's harder to clean and it shows all the dirt and dust. Another thing I do not like are the knobs; they are completely coated with a rubbery compound which are hard to clean and they don't turn very well when starting the barbeque. It feels like one or two of them weren't installed correctly (they were installed at the factory). They don't seem to "catch" and subsequently misfire upon startup so you need to turn them off and on until you find the sweet spot. The unit was very easy to set up, but I don't like the placement of the sideburner and wish it was reversible. The plastic trim on the side panels are questionable. From my experience with the Triumph, I learned the hard way that the plastic is NOT heat resistant so when you move a hot pan over onto the side panels, the plastic melts. I just figure if I'm juggling pans and moving things around, that would be a perfect spot to rest a pan. Nope. Totally melted. Napoleon confirmed to me that the plastic was not heat resistant, which is rubbish. I tried to find information on the new unit as to whether Napoleon had changed the plastic to a heat resistant material, but could not find anything so I won't tempt fate. One thing that was very important to me was the fact that the unit came with a great warranty, which hopefully means Napoleon believes in their product. I use my barbeque almost every day (personally, not commercially) and it's important that the unit stands up to use especially when you pay the money you do for name brand quality.
