I have had a few portable BBQ's, this by far is the best I've ever owned or tried. The results are incredible. The cast iron grill gives amazing results. The sear i was able to obtain on my steak and veggies and perfectly cooked!, The griddle is awesome! i have used a griddle on a BBQ, I own one that you place on top of the grill, in this setup where you replaced one side of the grill with the griddle, it intensifies the heat and it just cooks everything better! The scissor cart makes this a delight to bring out to your vehicle to load and when you get to your destination, it is easily transported to your picnic or camping spot! If you were thinking about this grill, don't wait any longer!

Well designed.....everything works the way it's supposed to. Set-up/take-down < 1 min. including 20 lb tank attachment. Pre-heat to 400* in 5 min. on high. Maintains 400* @ 40-50%. Flare-ups rare. 10-12 burgers at a time, medium in 5 min. Red cover gets very hot! Stone cold in 10 min.

This is the master game day tailgate grill it fits 17 burgers very easily and seven large sirloin steaks. I'm very happy just wish they had a volunteer orange.

Simple design is often the best design. The 285's duality consistently cooks all 'grillables' as desired. Equally important is that it deals so well with drippings collection and makes short work of cleaning and residue disposal. Although touted as a portable, this is the perfect, do-it-all grill for a retired couple, replacing the family behemoth. This quickly became a most satisfying buy!

Napoleon Travel Q 285X portable BBQ is my very good purchase. Its working fantastic, looks great, comfortable to carry with for outdoor program. Very easy to handle and grilling performance is very satisfactory. I love it and I will recommend it.

Assembly is quick & easy as most of this BBQ is Factory assembled. Works very well, however I was shocked to discover the Burners have no upper guards to help protect the Burners.

Hard to reach 500f. I have to wait more than 15 minutes to reach searing temperature. I have a prestige 500 at home, wich I recommend to anyone and this is why a bought this bbq for the camping. Well made, good quality but I am a little bit disappointed with is performance.

I bought this grill mainly for camping because of its portability while the scissor cart works very well the rest seems as very poor quality the paint started to peel after about a month and a half now almost all of the paint on the lid has fallen off. The burners do not work well on low is has way too much heat. Turned to the lowest setting it heats up to 600 degrees

Absolutely THE worst BBQ I ever owned. After listening to the reviews and people telling me how great of a grill this is, I decided to spend the money. This evening it took 45 mins with the bbq on high to even reach 200 Even with the slightest of a breeze it would blow out constantly needing to be relit after 1hour and 45 mins of trying to grill hamburger patties I gave up. Absolute trash. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I bought this bbq 3 years ago. It worked fine for 2 years then it did not heat. I brought it to the local service point in Sherbrooke. First, they said they clean it but still did not work. Now, it has been more than a month to get a regulator! This is the first time I hear about "regulators" and the last time I buy a supposedly good bbq.
