NARS Soft Matte Advaced Perfecting Powder - 9 GR / Bay - For Medium Skin with Warm Tones

It has such a Velvet finish with the perfect amount of coverage and the shade range is beautiful. Anytime I think to gift someone Makeup I always wanna make sure to include this powder. This is my 2nd time purchasing this powder and what I must say is I simply LOVE the fact that you truly don't have to use very much of it to see it! It is INDEED a perfecting powder, and it sets my NARS soft matte complete foundation beautifully! And because you don't need a ton of it, it lasts a while which is a good thing when you wear makeup often like I do! I was hooked on MAC's powder for years, and it's still a good powder, but I prefer this one even more!

Surprised by how blurring this went on, not cakey at all like most powders, it just blurs everything in place and good holding power to last all day. I am 40+ and have dry-combo skin and didn't this was going to work for me. I like to mattify my T-zone areas and bought this specifically for that. A few times I oversprayed hydrating mist and turned out to look like a total grease and this saved me without looking overly done.

I bought this after my favorite Japanese makeup artist was raving about it on his Youtube. I tried the famous "CT AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS FINISH" but it never made my skin blurry like this one does and I was not impressed at all. I've used different brands in the past but I never see the difference so I really didn't know the point of using setting powder until I used this powder. It really makes your skin look airbrushed, beautiful and not heavy or caky at all even if I layered it few times.

Having quite an oily t-zone I am forever on the hunt for a powder to stop the shine coming through. This does a reasonable job but no better than other high end mattifying powders. I do really like the fine powder which doesn't cake or sit in pores and it does blur pores very well. I tried the colour guide online but wasn't convinced by my match so went for a darker shade and really glad I did as it was a good match. Bit disappointed there is no mini brush or sponge included for on the go top ups.
