NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil Famous Red

This lip pencil is absolute perfection. I've been wearing this color in this pencil form for years and receive compliments every single time I have it on. I am very upset that Nars change the formula to this perfect pencil in matte. The "NEW" pencils that came out this year are HORRID. They dry your lips. The formula is similar to that of their lip glosses. Simply horrible. I do not know why they changed it. If they ever make them like this one again I'll buy. But I'm not buying the new ones.

The Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are a STAPLE in my pro artist kit. I've had them for years. They are quite literally one of my ride or die products. They are ALWAYS the first product I reach for when doing lips and they are perfect for sanitizing and having in the set bag without mess.

Absolutely love this. Colour is perfect for parties, and probably for day wear too. Goes on like lip balm and feels so smooth all night. Couldn't fault it. Forever looking for a red that doesn't mark my teeth like the amateur makeup wearer I am, and this is absolutely perfect in every way.

This is my favourite lip product have been using it since 2009. So upset that it is being replaced by the Powermatte pencil which is not the same colour or texture.

It looks almost natural yet adds some color.I have fair skin tone and blue eyes and that is the best lip color match for a daily use so far. The quality is good, it stays for long but doesn't stick too hard to lips so easily removed.

I bought the Velvet Matte Pencil in Cruella and I'm so glad that I did. It doesn't really bleed on me even with lip balm underneath and Cruella is a lovely red on me and will look lovely on a range of many different skin tones as well. My shade in Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint is Malaga.

I love the color and feel of this pencil. Not sure what happened, but before I even needed to sharpen it, the tip broke way in the pencil. I had to sharpen so much, I feel like I lost half the pencil!

I have this in 2 shades now (Bolero & Never Say Never) and I find that they are both very nicely pigmented with a creamy texture it glides onto skin beautifully. The only possible fault I could find is that in my experience it isn't as long-wearing or durable as I'd like.

I love the glide and coverage with this lip pencil. I was off of what the true color- coral instead of a plum I thought I purchased. The color was not what I thought I wanted but I use it as an undertone and mix with another color. I've always loved this product and will definitely buy again.

Bought this in the colour damned....great shade and looks beautiful on initial application, but fades so unevenly, especially if I eat or drink. The centre fades leaving a ring around the edges of my lip like I've lined them but filled them in badly! So disappointed as I heard so many good things about this.
