Excited to finally find the whole series

The show we would rate 5 stars. The Exclusive DVD set rates 1 star. It's yet another flimsy plastic case piled with discs and looks like the most generic DVD set we've ever gotten. There's no inner printing of episode lists. The white discs remind us of the old generic Food. No extras. No care was put into this set. To call it an exclusive is a letdown, because usually store exclusives have some sort of cool factor to them. This is nothing more than a cheap way to obtain the complete series to watch. With that in mind, we're happy to have the complete show. We liked the show and watched it every week back when it was on ABC. The last two seasons on CMT got a little wonky and out of character. The 6th season was the worst, as is typical with a lot of shows as they come to an end. But overall, we enjoyed the stories and characters. So to see Rayna and Deacon and Juliette again after all these years, it will feel like a new show again. We spot-checked the discs, and they seem to play okay. It's in widescreen format with the top and bottom bars, but what can you do? It takes a while to watch a whole series, so like all DVD sets, we hope for the best that it will play all the way through. We just wish that what's touted as an Exclusive would have been classier. That's why we averaged the rating as a 3.
