Nathan James Theo Industrial 5-Shelf Reclaimed Wood Ladder Bookcase with Oak Open Shelves and Black Metal Frame

Awesome bookshelf. We ordered the solid black one for my daughter and it is gorgeous and sturdy. I do want to let people know that because we loved it so much we then ordered the walnut and black one for my sons room and it is not the identical product just a different color. And sadly the quality was terrible and we had to return it. It looks like they should all be the same. Just different color options. But as we found out they are not in the quality is definitely different! The all black one is really nice and really sturdy.

Very pleased with the item. It took less than 20 minutes to assemble the bookshelf. It was worth the money and way cheaper compared to other competitors.

Love these shelves! We bought two to go on each side of the tv in our game room. Assembling was a breeze, instructions were clear and great quality!

Bought this for my home office. It's very easy to assemble and install, probably took me 30 minutes start to finish. There are simply two anchor screws for the top. I used heavier anchors than they provided. It looks nice and is functional. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. I knocked off two stars for one reason, this is NOT a wood shelf. The shelves are engineered wood. So it's a bit of a false title. Since the shelves are fully encased in a metal frame you cannot tell they are engineered wood. Don't be misled thinking you are getting wooden shelves.

The bookshelves I received look NOTHING like the pictures online. They are not the real Nathan James brand shelves and are just cheap, low-quality shelves compared to the pictures that are shown online. The wood color I was sent was totally off and much lighter than the pictures, and the shelves are SO THIN - about half as thick as the shelves in the pics online. Not nearly as nice or as sturdy looking as the actual Nathan James shelves.

I opened the box this morning only to find out that it was a counterfeit product. VIK TECH was the seller. The shelves were about half the width as advertised and the supports did not fit through the shelves as pictured. The metal was also very flimsy. I hope others did not have the same issue, but be aware of the item you receive and check that it is as-described.

I purchased this last year. I recently reordered another to put side by side with the previous one. The product has been completely redesigned and is much cheaper and crappier. Shelves are not as heavy and are much thinner as well as a different color. Quality is way down and I was not able to put them side by side as I intended as the products are totally different. Very disappointed.

I bought two of theses. The side bars (frame) are in two pieces that you join together. When fitting these pieces together, on both bookcases, the top sections were slanted. I would not order these. I had to return both due to the severe slant on the top half of the bookcases. (I did not try forcing them straight by drilling them into the wall. If it still had not worked and I put multiple holes in my wall, I would have felt worse about this purchase.)
