Gave as a gift for a Xmas giving tree. It looks like one of the best, well made marble run I have ever seen.
This STEM marble set has everything you need to explore physics and engineering. It comes with detailed instructions and a fact-filled learning guide and everything you need to explore the different chain reactions of the marbles run. Super fun! I recommend having a supervising adult to ensure the fun and the best experience. This is a fun family activity to connect and collaborate with family and friends. Love it!
I received this NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Magnetic Marble Run - 50-Piece STEM Building Set & my children absolutely love it! It's great for motor skills & problem solving. Endless fun! It's wonderful for at home or the classroom. I would definitely recommend this kit to others.
This is easy to assemble. My 7 year old Granddaughter put it together by herself. It toppled over the first time but she learned, followed the book and got it together. She loves the glow in the dark marbles. We ended up ordering the expansion kit for it. It has given her hours of fun (not just her but grandpa too)! Great item, highly recommend!
This magnetic marble run set by National Geographic is a creative fun kit for ages 8 and older. With parental guidance it's something you can do as a family for kids younger than 8 as well. There are variations of the marble run sets, but this is a 50 piece set. Definitely need something magnetic to build and place these pieces on. Most refrigerator doors are magnetic on the outside and of course ours isn't. Luckily we have a white board that is magnetic and was able to use that to play with this set. The connector, track, and trick pieces are plenty to get started and familiar with. It helps kids with imagination, inventiveness, and analytical skills. Configurations are endless as our kids were busy for a while, which is great as it occupies their minds being creative, instead of being mindless on devices. It would be great if it included a magnetic board just in case there's no where to play this on. I do like the bag that's included to keep all the pieces together. Overall, this magnetic marble run set is something that'll get kids occupied and entertained in the name of science. They're learning physics and engineering by playing and manipulating these pieces. Highly recommended.
This marble maze is amazing and fun for the family, The fact that you can put them on the refrigerator and make different mazes, My kids absolutely love playing and learning with this magnetic marble run, Highly recommend this marble run to anyone, Great gift to give..
I am reviewing the National Geographic Makeway Magnetic Marble Run - 50 piece set. I got this activity for my 10-year-old son, as an option for something to do...other than playing video games. My son has fun playing with this kit. While I feel the plastic could be a bit sturdier, the magnets hold very well. He likes to set up a marble run along side of our refrigerator and his older brothers even play along. There's enough pieces in the kit to create several little obstacle courses with neat twists and bends. My son especially likes the pieces that spin and fling the marble. There are 10 marbles in this set, which is nice in the event that any get lost or if you have multiple kids setting up multiple runs. There is a nice quality booklet that comes with the set that not only describes the pieces but also has a few science based explanations of the obstacles. I really appreciated that. This kit will get your kids to think and definitely will hold their interest and it's always a better option than them staring at a screen. The box includes a nice drawstring bag to put all of the pieces, book, and marbles in, making clean up and storage easy. I would definitely recommend this for kids because it allows them to get creative with building things and using their minds with a hands-on activity.
The National Geographic 50 piece Makeway Magnetic marble run kit comes with everything you need to create several different race tracks to explore. The kit comes with easy to understand instructions magnetic connectors, tracks, trick pieces including spinners, a pole and even a bell, 10 marbles and a storage bag. The tracks can be assembled on any magnetic surface like a fridge or other metal surface. This kit is also a Stem certified (STEM = science, technology, engineering and mathematics) learning tool. The instructions are easy to follow and will provide hours of fun and engineering fun as well.
My kids loved it they love to watch the marbles to go and putting it up different ways on the refrigerator kept them busy while I cook supper it's pretty awesome
I was very excited to receive this item for my son for Christmas but this has to be the worst marble run I've ever bought. its extremely flimsy, felt like nothing was in the box when it arrived. confusing to put together, I expected the pieces to be ready to use like any other marble run set. you do not get your value for what you pay for this set should be priced at $10 max. you're pretty much paying for the brand. horrible set I will be returning.
