Perfect kit for little explorers!

haleys223_9555 August 29, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit is fantastic for curious kids! The National Geographic Bug Catcher Kit is well-made, easy to use, and sparks so much excitement about exploring nature. My child loves catching little insects, safely observing them, and then letting them go. The tools are sturdy but kid-friendly, and the magnifying glass makes it fun to see all the little details up close. I also appreciate that it encourages hands-on learning and gets kids outside instead of on screens. It's educational, fun, and a great gift for any young explorer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is adorable. Comes with some rubber bugs and all the things to find your own bugs. Very sturdy set and love the two different magnifying pieces to look through. The kids can get a close up look of bugs out in our yard. Great to have and would make a great gift as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bug catching kit was amazing! Kept my kids busy for hours. I loved how it had multiple tools so each kid could have fun and trade tools with each other. All parts are well made. I absolutely loved how it had built in magnifying glasses in the cage portion. One moved and swiveled. I warned my daughter to be careful because it could smash the bug. That was the only downside but overall absolutely amazing! Kids had a ton of fun observing the bugs and then releasing them back after each got a turn.

Little Explorers Toy

Anonymous September 17, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bug catcher kit is a really nice toy for small little explorers. My 3 & 5 year old are very curious little ones who found this toy very entertaining. We were definitely happy to see them find interest in exploring more outdoor activities.

Screen-Free Educational Fun!

jene4423_6839 August 26, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The National Geographic Mega Bug Habitat is such an amazing way to get kids excited about nature! My 6-year-old is always making "bug friends" and he loves being able to see them up close before they fly away or run off. The kit comes with so much, including a net, bug catcher tool (so you can catch without accidentally squishes!), and a super helpful field guide. The habitat is durable enough to withstand some occasional drops and features a 360-degree clear view, plus two built-in magnifying glasses. It can be so hard to get the kids to put down the screens in summertime, but my son had so much fun getting out in the yard and seeing what bugs he could find!

Fun for kids!

kriziat_4965 January 5, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids had a great time playing with this in the backyard and even at their grandparents home. It's not too big or bulky to take out with us and it was easy to just throw in a bag and put away for later use. They found some cool little critters to check out and I love anything that will get them outside and have a little hands on learning fun!

National Geographic Bug Catcher Kit – Bug Habitat,

Vikki May 15, 2025

It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It would be better if the habitat was bigger.

Very cute for young ages

rnieves_8888 August 4, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this bug catching science kit for a 5 year old. The features are convenient with Annette mini scissors and tweezer. I like that it has a handle to carry an alert that pops open with easy clips on both sides. Super user-friendly for the younger crowd however, I would say my eight year old was not as interested. She's used to a more mature science kit. But definitely fun for the younger crowd. I really like the interactive booklet and stickers that come with it. It keeps it exciting for the little ones to keep record of what they have caught.

Sturdy and fun. Great for curious kids!

samky_3539 September 10, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This catcher kit is impressively well-built. Both the habitat and its accessories feel solid and durable, which is perfect for hands-on exploration. It comes with three glow-in-the-dark plastic bugs—great for younger kids to play pretend, while older kids will enjoy using the habitat to observe real critters up close. The built-in magnifying glass is a standout feature. It zooms in and out with a simple push or pull and swivels smoothly for different angles. Just a heads-up: remind kids to be gentle when using it so they don't accidentally squish their tiny guests. I gave it four stars instead of five only because the habitat itself is quite small. It still works well, but a slightly larger size would make it even better for observing multiple creatures at once.
