8 year old budding scientist loved it. Variety of experiments keeps her interested. Use of common household ingredients expands the fun.
My granddaughter got this for her 6th birthday. She loves it! She's big into science and was thrilled with the kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My four year old is having a BLAST playing with this set. We learned about chemical reactions with vinegar and baking soda. She's loving the different beakers and droppers, and even the safety goggles. I gave her food dye to mix colors and experiment. I can see this being a valuable resource for homeschooling in the fall.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I seen this I knew it was right up my daughter's alley. She loved it. I loved that it came with all the necessary tools to complete each chemistry experiment. Good hands on and helps follow directions to learn
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this chemistry kit from National Geographic! To be clear, it does NOT come with chemicals, which I really like. It comes with the tools I have pictured plus an experiment booklet. The experiments are completed with household items like baking soda and vinegar. My kids really enjoy “shopping” around the house for supplies and getting to work! So far, we haven't found an experiment we didn't like!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is so cute. It has a variety of experiments in the booklet to do. My son loved filling the test tubes and all the different activities in the booklet. Like the balloon one. It teaches safety with having the googles to wear. And was simple to do with little ones.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a fun imaginative play activity for kids! My 5 year old has been playing with it non stop since we opened it. The assembly is simply just unpacking it. It has so much open and creative play for kids. It's very educational with measuring and pouring - which covers cognitive thinking and fine motor skills. It would also be a great outdoor activity in teaching colors and what happens when you mix certain colors together. The only misleading thing is the photo on the box that kinda makes it seem like those ingredients / activities would be provided which they are not. This only contains the items.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved the National Geographic Junior Chemistry Set! 🔬🧪 It's a perfect introduction to science for young kids — fun, safe, and super engaging. Everything in the box is clearly labeled, and the instructions are easy to follow. My son had a blast using the funnel and dropper to explore liquids like water and oil. 🌊🛢️ Great quality and totally worth it! Highly recommended for curious little scientists! 👨🔬✨
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids loved testing out the science tools. I let them play with them in the water table. I also enjoyed the book of experiments to do and how it starts by telling you to let the kids explore with the tools and get use to them and see what they do and how they work. We did do a gummy bear experiment that was in the book and my boys loved it! I enjoyed the kit and the tools and can't wait to do some more experiments and talk to my kids about different science things!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have been having a lot of fun with National Geographic Kids Junior Chemistry Lab Kit. The age on the kit is 4+ and my three elementary school age kids have each found experiments from the book that they enjoyed doing. The important thing to note is that this does not include all of the supplies needed to complete experiments. The kit does include a booklet with 23 fun experiment ideas that outline what to use from the kit and what needs to be procured separately. For many of the experiments, the items you need to get far outnumber the items used from the kit. However, the kit does include great quality items that can be used as part of the suggested experiments and for your own DIY activities such as flasks, beakers, measuring spoons, test tubes, droppers, a funnel, magnifying glass, cleaning brush and safety goggles.
