[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hook lock is strong. I installed it on an external shed. The door kept flinging open prior to installation. We had winds in excess of 45 mph. The door didn't budge. So far, no signs of rust or weakening. It's easy to install.

This will hold my backyard gate pretty well. I used to have the issue of my gate not keeping open and they wind always moving it but now it stays in place

I build an outdoor cold frame for my garden plants/seedlings and I used this gate hook to latch down the top frame. So far this is holding up well to the outside elements and I don't foresee having any issues with it.
