Exactly as described. Only thing that would make it better, if there were limits in the bolt so it doesn't slide all the way down. Easy to install.

It needed a new lock as well as a few other parts so I liked the look of the cane bolt so I used it. Needless to say it works great, its very strong and not only keeps it locked closed but also holds it open when I need it to. Great job.

We have a 20' gate opening which is covered with a 16' gate and a 4' gate. We use this cane bolt on the 4' since it doesn't get opened very much. I will say that when the 16' gate closes it can hit with a good amount of force and this cane bolt so far has held up and is not showing any signs of bending.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cane bolt easily anchors one gate while the gate latch acts as a stop for the other gate. It seems very sturdy and well made. I installed it on a dog gate at the top of my stairs on my deck. Would recommend this cane bolt to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great latch. I built some doors for my shed. It is 2 swinging doors. I used this to anchor one for the times you only need to have 1 open. Strong steel and Great black paint that withstands use without scratching.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 2 pairs of very tall (12 ft) split barn doors, opposite each other at ends of barn and have been looking for way to tighten them up, particularly when wind is blowing. This latch is providing us an answer-- seems to work well for what we need-- will purchase 3 more and things will tighten up considerably
