[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cable doesn't look very strong but it is - once we installed it and hooked it in - it was very sturdy and strong. We tried opening the gate latch - and the cable would not give in - it stayed strong and in place. I was nicely surprised by it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our backyard latch cable wasn't a cable at all, it was a string of cotton twine. There were a few times when the twine tore and we had to jump over the fence. The gate latch works as intended and won't leave us locked out.

It doesn't lock and I just wrapped this around the gate and the pole and it locked like a charm. It's so easy to open and close and use. I would definitely recommend this product if you need to lock certain things and don't want too much of a hassle to get back into them. It's very convenient and comes in very handy around the house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this just in time. The contractor used twine to put in our gate latch. After a fairly short time it was becoming warn. This stainless steel cable should hold up for years, Even here in rainy South Carolina.
