The scent is light. Not overpowering. It cleaned and conditioned very well! The set has worked very well as a hair care product. While it is a “cold weather scent”, I will say it is light enough for that to not matter. It could also help with insects because many do not like a peppermint scent in the warm months. That is why I got this. We are often in the outdoors and woods and I will try whatever it takes to repel bugs on top of our sprays we use.

So far, so good! I always love scents like these—even at random times during the year—because, well, there are no laws saying you can't enjoy candy canes in July! The shampoo and conditioner both seem pretty high-quality—pretty typical stuff you'd expect from Native. The shampoo lathers and stays on your hair well; it's not like some of those shampoos that feel ultra-watery and just fall off everything. The conditioner also seems to work well, and that's coming from someone with pretty dry hair that I struggle with, so that's a pleasant surprise. The scent isn't too strong either, which is perfect in my opinion. Sometimes companies go overboard with these types of scents and it just burns your eyes—but that's not an issue here! The only gripe I have is with the lids. I've dealt with these before on Native products, and the little pop-up nozzle tends to get stuck. What usually fixes it for me is pushing down pretty hard and twisting in both directions. It almost feels like something is “grinding,” and then you hear some sounds—after that, it usually pops right up. Overall, it's easy to recommend this shampoo and conditioner set!

This is my “go-to” summer shampoo and conditioner! I have thick frizzy hair and this makes my hair light and shiny…but best of all, it smells fresh and keeps mosquitoes away with the mint undertone scent. I highly recommend!

i feel so minty fresh after each shower. It's so weird. Honestly, idk what i was expecting. i smell like toothpaste, and i guess I'm okay with it 😅
