I've been taking these on & off for about 6 months. They really do keep my mood leveled & prevent me from getting too stressed. I like 50 MG better than 100 MG because you can take these up to 4x a day. I almost went to see a Psychiatrist to see if I needed a prescription for some type of medication but then I found these.. & I'm so glad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 50 mg Natrol 5-HTP, Natrol has them available 100 mg and 200 mg doses in their line as well so you can easily choose the dose that works best for you. The 50 mg capsule is smaller than most average size capsules and the capsule length is roughly the size of a dime making them easy to swallow. The clear capsules are filled with a white powder and to me smell a bit like vinegar when I open the bottle but they have absolutely no taste or aftertaste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who is not easily affected by caffeine or other stimulants or depressants, I was not deeply affected by the Natrol 5-HTP capsules. It regulated my stress to a certain extent. Sure, I was a bit calmer and relaxed at first, but the effects soon wore off. It took about half an hour. Meanwhile, the 200 mg of the same product put me straight to sleep! The higher the mg, the more it tends to me make me sleepy. This one does not really have an impact on my stress and mood as much as I would like it to.

When I take the pill, it does start my day off on the right foot.
