What an amazing, stunning cake!!! We thoroughly enjoyed every scrumptious bite!!! I will forever and always continue to buy any of my cakes from Walmart. We have been lifetime customers to our bakery here in Livingston Texas!! Thank you all for making quality desserts!
The cake was very pretty and everyone thought it was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet. I'm very glad I went with the non chocolate Bavarian creme option, the absolute best choice. The colors were very muted and not overly exaggerated, which I loved. Another great thing is that it comes out beautifully in pictures. I did purchase edible gold glitter which I sprayed on the flowers myself but it was beautiful without it too. I most definitely recommend it.
I was absolutely blown away by this cake! It was not only stunning to look at—beautifully decorated with such attention to detail—but it tasted incredible. Every bite was moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Guests at the event kept asking which bakery it came from because it looked so professional and elegant. Honestly, it exceeded all expectations and became the centerpiece of the celebration. Highly recommend!
The cake received rave reviews by all who ate it. More importantly the baker showed care and compassion in her efforts and in acknowledging my mom's 85th birthday as an accomplishment to be celebrated.
The cake was perfect %26 beautiful! My granddaughter loved it! It was her sweet 16 and her first birthday cake that was so grownup. The cake was really good overall. I was a little bit disappointed with the texture of the whipped frosting; it left film on the roof of my mouth that I believe is due to a fat content that I associate with cheap chocolate (avoided mostly, but grand baby gifts cannot be refused). In the past, the whipped frosting has always been more like whipped cream %26 was very light with no filmy layer left on the roof of my mouth. Due to the fact that all things are outrageously expensive now; I'm sure that bakeries have made changes to recipes to cut costs. If this is the case, I wouldn't mind paying extra for the option to select a frosting that is more whipped creamy, slightly sweeter and very fluffy. I would order it again as is because my family liked it as is.
I was a bit skeptical based off of reviews. Cake was delicious! Definitely would buy again. The cake was buttercream *not too sugary. Marble and strawberry filling. The filling was not overwhelming. It was spread thin like butter on toast. Such a good turn out😀
Let me start by saying the cake was very fresh. The appearance wasn't quite like the picture online and the size of the cake was much smaller than I thought I was getting. The taste of the cake was really good and fresh but the icing on the cake had a very strong waxy taste. And I think it's from the actual circle flower thing that they birthday logo is written inside of on the cake. I would recommend them just using icing instead of the waxy flower thing that's on the cake. It would make a much better cake. And my cake didn't have the pretty natural birthday strokes around the cake.
when we picked up the cake the decorating was so small it looked out of proportion for the size of cake. They did make the wording bigger and added flowers in the corner because the one they had was really small. it looked better after they fixed it. i wasn't really happy with the color of frosting for the flowers but the cake tasted really good. also, the cake was very uneven, not level at all. again, it tasted good but the decorating was below my expectations
The cake was beautiful in appearance and wonderful in taste. HOWEVER, the decoration was some sort of gross material. It did not cut like frosting it was more like a wet tissue paper. The decoration was some sort of strange material that looks like it came out of a printer. We had to peel it all off and throw it away as it seemed like something that was NON-EDIBLE. Everything was great until we tried to slice it into serving pieces. That's when we had to dissect it by pulling off the sheets of decorative material. There was no way we could serve that stuff to people.
My daughter picked up the cake. I don't think she looked at it when she picked it up... It was horrible! Sometimes when you have a cake for a birthday party like this, you wait to cut it because you want people to see it and admire it. In this case, we cut it before the guests arrived. It was a full sheet cake but one half was nearly a full inch taller than the other half. It was hard to tell because the frosting/icing was super thin on the tall half and much thicker on the shorter half. The top looked okay, but the flowers lacked the definition I was hoping for. The sides had the pre-printed brush stroke design glued together with a bright green frosting that did not match the other colors of the cake at all. And all along the bottom edge of the cake, instead of the muted green border that the picture on the website suggested, it was that same bright, kelly green. Did not match at all. To top it all off, when I spoke with someone on the phone to complain about the cake, he didn't even want to know why I didn't like it. He simply told me that my concerns were being "escalated" and someone would be in touch to make it right. That was on Sunday night that I contacted them... it is now Saturday. A week. And nothing. They also totally messed up a donut order for my daughter's wedding - canceling it by email just hours before the wedding... I will NOT be getting anything from the Walmart bakery in the future. (For reference, this experience was at the Walmart on 13th Ave S in Fargo.) The photos show the garish green frosting used for bottom edge and "gluing" the paper decoration to the cake, the uneven surface of the cake from a couple different angles, and the thinness of the frosting on the higher side of the cake.
