This performs better than other non-clay litter like A%26H Naturals. It absorbs odor longer and clumps harder making sifting cleaner and doesn't need to be dumped as often.
I really like this stuff and that it's not scented. Problem is, my cat walks in it and tracks it all over. That and he licks it off. They had pellets once and I really liked those but switched to this until they came back. It works great and does what it's supposed to, my cat is just ahem, special.
I have been buying walnut shell cat litter for several years now. My kitty was having some respiratory issues so i switched from regular clumping litter to Naturally Fresh Fast Clumping. There is hardly an dust. Its easy to clean up. It absorbs any odor very well. It's a little pricey but my healthier kitty is worth it. It gets delivered right to my door so it is very convenient. I hope Wal-Mart never stops carrying it.
I've finally found the litter that works best for both me and my special needs cat. No perfumy/Febreeze nastiness, no formaldehyde or chemical odor, no sticky gooey nastinesss, no powdery clay dust all over everything, no more clay particles that track - I've tried all of the top notch clays - Boxie, Tidy Cats, Fresh Step, Arm %26 Hammer, etc. So - if you've run into the same disappointment, please give the walnut shell a try. I'm in a tiny one room efficiency. Only 315 sq ft. My cat's powder room is the coat closet with the door removed, a curtain is hung to keep any dust contained in the closet. I use a litter trapper mat with her stainless steel litter box that is enclosed on 3 sides. All the clay litters were simply too dusty and chemical smelly, and while there wasn't an actual "waste" odor, even though I scooped daily, there was an unpleasant odor from the clay itself. Now? There is absolutely no unpleasant odors at all and no dust. No tracking at all. The brown particles don't stick as much to her long haired paws and the few steps she takes to walk out of the box onto the litter trapper mat and then through the curtain and into the apartment is sufficient to eliminate any tracking into the apartment. The particles all stay in the litter mat. The clumps are firm and solid and easy to scoop out. The walnut shell is much more absorbant than any of the clays I tried. And - it's lightweight and easy to scoop - a blessing to a 75 year old female with dwindling arm strength. My kitty took about 3 days to fully acclimate to the new litter. I'd mixed about half clay/half walnut to see how she responded. The walnut added to the clay has been a major improvement as stated above. I'll be switching gradually to 100% walnut. I'm happy - and - she's happy as well.
I used World's Best Litter for years. However, we had a new rescue kitty that seemed to keep utinary irritation and hesitation towards the litter. I did some research and decided to try Naturally Fresh walnut shell litter. It has been wonderful for all my cats! The rescue especially responded positively towards the walnut shell litter. Yes, it looks different and is dark colored but don't let that stop you from trying it! It last a long time if you scoop daily. The odor is nit noticeable at all from this litter. I top up as needed after scooping and dump it every 2 weeks. With one cat you probably could dump monthly. This is a Cat fur baby-approved product! *The price is reasonable also!
After having to send my cat over the rainbow, I found a little female rescue cat at the shelter. She knew what a cat box was, but I had to laugh. She's a little prima donna. Didn't like that clay stuff . she's an older cat that got lost and her owner never found her, but I suspect in her previous home they didn't have clay litter. I took a chance and got Naturally Fresh and she loves it. It's crushed walnut shells. It's better for the environment. Change my whole perception of cat litter. I love it.
excellent liter hardly any dust works great i mix it with scoop away my cat loves it. its so easy to scoop out. you dont even know theres a cat in the house. it knocks down thee ammonia smell. my house never has a cat odor. i use this with scoop away n i wouldnt n havent used any other litter.
Yes, yes, yes!!! No smell, clumps fast and are easy to remove. Highly recommend. Cleaning litter is not a terrible chore anymore.
It has a natural, light, refreshing, woodsy smell. Great on odor control. There is no ammonia smell from urine after multiple cat use. The cats liked using it immediately. Light and easy to pour. The only negative is that it doesn't clump as well as the clumping clay litter. However, I prefer not having to clean excessive clay dust everywhere, constantly, anymore.
This is a 2 star. I love the idea of this %26 I wanted so badly to use it, but, it's not what it says it is. It says it's quick clumping, but, it's not very good at clumping no matter how long it's been. It says it has less odor, but this has a very strong urine odor. Besides that, several times when I go to scoop the litter, it's actually growing MOLD IN IT! That CAN'T be healthy for my cat! If they fix the problems, it's be a great alternative to regular kitty litter. I can say that it is low dust and when it's new, I love the smell of it. I guess I'll still be looking for the "perfect", healthy kitty litter.
