The BEST brownies for a healthier option (although still sugary). It's awesome that Walmart sells this bigger box for a reasonable price! Great flavor and I love how 2 smaller brownies are in one pack. PLEASE KEEP IN STOCK FOR DELIVERY WALMART!! You've converted a heavy Amazon shopper to your site with this and your other great snack options (i.e. MINI Ciff bars
It's not that easy to find pastries made from whole wheat that aren't quite expensive. These brownies are no more expensive than any similar refined wheat product. Dates work great for sweetening and for keeping them moist. They stay moist for weeks in their packs. Chocolaty!
We are Vegan and this Brownie was excellent. My grandson loved them and if I am not watchful they will disappear to his bedroom and he will eat them all. They are an excellent snack in moderation.
Very good fig bars. A healthy alternative to doughnuts, no doubt. Good amount of fiber for a small treat in the mornings with coffee, or at anytime.
I was looking for a “healthy” alternative to brownies because I looove chocolate and all things sweets and this was the perfect match for me! No they don't taste like traditional oven baked brownies that you're used to because they're not… to me they almost have the texture of the little Debbie cosmic brownies. They are full of chocolate flavor. The best part about this brownie for me is no date flavor. Yes there is date paste in them but I've had my share of date snacks and this comes nowhere close to the taste of other snacks with dates in them. So if you buy these don't go in thinking they'll taste like some brownies you just made from a box or homemade because you will be disappointed.
Perfect to carry as a snack. Most chocolate snacks melt in your pocket or pack -- these don't. I take them camping and keep one in my shirt picketvwgen I am fly fishing. No sticky, melting chocolate! (I also take their fig bars, too.) Good, chocolate flavor and perfect texture.
If you have a sweet tooth, but want something a little healthier than regular brownies, these are a satisfying substitute. If your expecting the same experience as eating freshly baked fattening brownies you will be disappointed. But if you want something chewy, chocolate, and tasty in their own right, then these are great.
I got these as lunch snack for my husband when the fig bars got more expensive. These seem healthy but I can't say that I like the flavor or texture much. Instead of chocolate, the dates seem to overwhelm the taste. If you like a more fruity, grainy texture in a brownie these are for you. As for me, I doubt I'd buy them again. If I'm going to eat a brownie, I want it to at least taste like one! I do like that they are packaged in portions of two though. If we ever get out of the house again, that would be convenient!
They're not bad, but they're not real good either. When I first bit into one, it seemed to have a chemical taste, or an off taste, like cardboard, but there are no chemical ingredients listed, and it's packaged in cellophane, so not sure where the off taste is coming from. It does not have a true brownie taste to me, but if you're looking for a healthier brownie option then you may like these. The positive is that they're not real sweet, I like that, sometimes real brownies are overwhelmingly sweet. The overall flavor did not impress me. I'll be leaving these at the store, but continue buying the fig bars.
I've had these before and loved them because they tasted just like brownies. Haven't had them in a while, but with the box I just bought these taste much more like fig than brownie. They also are more dry than I remember then being. I think maybe the recipe is different. They're not bad, just didn't have the brownie taste I was expecting. They're cool if you're craving brownies and this is all you have, but I wouldn't say I'd buy them again after tasting this batch.
