Nature's Own products are wonderful! The whole wheat bread is always fresh, moist, and very tasty. The loaf remains this way to the last slice, plus whole wheat is more nutritious than a white bread. Also, the taste is more robust. Can't go wrong, and the same goes for the whole wheat buns.
If you’re looking for a reliable whole wheat bread that’s soft, flavorful, and versatile, this one hits the mark. Right out of the bag, the texture is pleasantly soft and fresh—not dry or crumbly like some whole wheat breads can be. The slices are hearty without being too dense, making them perfect for a variety of uses. Whether it’s for sandwiches, toast with peanut butter, or a side with soups and salads, this bread holds up well without falling apart. The whole wheat flavor is rich but not overpowering—just the right balance of wholesome grain taste that still appeals to picky eaters. I like that it doesn’t have that chalky or bitter aftertaste you sometimes get with whole grain breads. Plus, it toasts beautifully, creating a nice golden crunch while staying soft inside. One thing I appreciate is how long it stays fresh. Even several days after opening, the bread maintains its moisture and doesn’t dry out quickly. The size of the loaf and the number of slices are great for families or anyone who uses bread regularly throughout the week. Overall, Nature’s Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread is a quality choice that delivers good taste, texture, and everyday convenience. It’s a dependable whole wheat option
We go back and forth between Natures Own and Sarah Lee we bread! Depends on availability and price. But my husband learned about N.O. “small loaf” and its baked in such a way that it’s thicker and has more body than the long loaf! So that’s our first choice for now!!!
The taste of this bread is really good. My husband can taste something wierd on other brands which he thinks are the preservatives. BUT, he loves the taste of Natures Own. That's our bread now. As prices, they're all expense. But what can you do. You have to eat.
Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread is our %231 go-to for bread, sandwiches, etc. It is THE SOFTEST bread ever! It lasts a really long time before going bad even when not in the refrigerator, so we don't have to refrigerate it to make it last before we can get a chance to eat the whole loaf between two people. It does dry out more when put in the fridge than out on the counter, but it still stays nice and soft for longer than any other bread we've ever had. It makes great toast too when on a medium setting--toasted on the outside and nice and soft on the inside for perfect toast.
As a bread - a- holic I thoroughly enjoy using it for toast with breakfast . Also it's good for peanut butter sandwiches it doesn't tear apart when applying the peanut butter then I get another knife to add seedless blackberry jam to the sandwich. So good . I usually cut my (pbj) sandwich into 4 sections plate it and have some hot tea with it . Savor your meals ! Relax and enjoy every bite!! You'll love the products you purchased and add them to your reorder list.
[I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review.] Nature's Own Whole Wheat Sliced Bread tastes heart and delicious! It is super light and fluffy and crisps up perfectly in a toaster. Definitely a new favorite for morning toast!
This is the only bread i use! It's always fresh, soft and tasty. It does cost more than the store brand but even though the ingredients and calories are listed as equal, this is much better in those areas as well. It has increased in price recently. I hope its just for the holidays.
Nature's Own puts out a good tasting bread. I also like their whole grain loaf as this wheat and the whole grain are proven healthy options. I was a fan of Dave's Red Label Powerseed but it has too much fiber and grain for my system. This bread in both whole wheat and whole grain are great replacements for the Dave's and at a lower price point. They also are rated one of the healthie breads.
I used to love this bread, but I am not impressed with the recipe they are using now. I appreciate the quality of the ingredients, but I was not a fan of the texture because it was so dry which made it stick to the roof of my mouth trying to eat a sandwich. I also found it has no flavor at all. I can barely taste the wheat flavor because it tasted more like eating paper or cardboard. I will be sticking with Great Value brand next time around.
