Well, my light was that the bread was very fresh. I was OK and satisfied with the price. The only thing. I think they have lessened the content. You don't get as many slices as you used to get in a loaf of bread. Also, I would like if they would start selling a half a loaf of bread. Instead of a whole loaf, I'm a single person, a single male. And I'd rather have a half a loaf of bread than a whole loaf of bread at one time. I know the practice of freezing half of it, but I prefer to buy fresh. Thank you.
A while ago, long time ago and it's the only bread that I enjoy it stays fresh long and it's just great all of them. I've tried all of them all their flavors or all their different lives and I enjoy each and every one of them. I don't like buying any other bread and I hate when they substitute that they're out of it. They should order more of it and keep it in stock all the time. I hope everyone will try because it's the best one of them desperate ever.
I eat this bread almost daily for breakfast with mayonnaise, mustard, bacon and egg. I love the texture and flavor of this bread. I use it for cinnamon toast, I wrap my hot dog in it with ketchup, mustard and slaw, cheaper than buying buns that would go bad before I could eat them all.
This butterbread gives the rich flavor of brioche with more slices and larger pieces for a sandwich. All the flavor but less expensive with more slices. Rich buttery taste for an excellent grilled cheese or club sandwich. Lightly toasted with jam needs no butter. So much better than other sandwich bread. Try it!
I have been buying this bread for 23 yrs. This was the peanut butter and jelly , butter bread with stew ,grilled cheese , and tuna sandwiches , I made a lot of sandwiches for my 4 kids and their friends. Making my husband lots of sandwiches working 18 hrs in the military, he had training. I call this my memory bread ...Fed lots of people. This bread is delicious, good for just taking a slice out and eating it plain . Thank you very happy customer.
Well I have to say I think they have changed the recipe. Possibly lowered standards on ingredients. Does not have same quality or taste it had 6 months ago. Price has not lowered but package size may have shrunk. I'm not buying as much of this bread as in past. Used to be only bread I would buy. Not so now. I am aware food industry is trying to lower the extra preservatives in food but that should not effect taste.
I've used this bread several years now. I don't know what they have done differently, but something is different. It lacks the softness it once had. Lately, there has been a lot of holes in the bread. Whatever change you have made, please go back to the old way of baking. Maybe there needs to be some better quality control.
WM says "'Stocking Stuffer' under 'Things you might consider in your review' which happens often when Walmart suggests key words.. and often is ridiculous- bread has never been a 'stocking stuffer' and other keyword suggestions from WM like "Crunch" and "Craving" Also complete useless for any valid review about bread. "Slices" is the only 1 of 4 keyword suggestions that is applicable here. MAJOR tech fail
This used to be my favorite white bread, but something has changed recently in the recipe. The bread isn’t as soft and fluffy and you aren’t able to get that little taste of butter that used to be a selling point for me. I doubt I will be buying it again as Pepperidge Farms now has bitter flavor and overall seems to be a higher quality than this brand. .
Disappointing and how small these slices of bread have become. I can remember making a sandwich and having a full slice of bread. now you're getting a third less of the size for more money. While The taste is still there, you feel like you're getting jipped out of half a sandwich.
