I can't make low carb buns in my bread machine that taste this good, believe me I've tried many times! All of Nature's Own keto bread products taste great. I use them all, hamburger buns and the keto white bread, every day. If you are diabetic or on a low carb diet you have to try these. My whole family loves them!
Substance and softness! Bought for my weight loss effort to enjoy a (H Natl) hot dog when SO gets his out. My goals incl fiber %26 protein, chose this new find after hearing horror stories about keto bread and buns. The interior is soft, but of course with all that extra fiber it was a little toothsome, like a slightly stale regular bun. I do store in fridge, took out before cooking hot dogs. One was plenty! Satisfying pick for the hot dog, (again H Natl hot dog, brand you use may impact), no weird taste or unexpected texture (I use carb balance tortillas without issue). I will definitely buy these again. Give them a chance! (For ref I am on a calorie deficit meal plan and only use spicy ketchup as condiment.) May you all meet your health goals!
This is my first time trying Keto Buns, and I must say I am impressed! They taste very similar to a regular Hot Dog Bun. I wiil say if you heat it up in the microwave too long, it will get a little tough and chewy. My husband puts his in the toaster and he said it turned out just fine. You pair this with Hebrew National 45 Calorie Hot Dogs, and you have a fantastic 105 calorie lunch! Walmart just needs to start selling these very lean hot dogs again! Are you listening Walmart????
Probably the best of the keto hot dog buns. Better texture than the alternatives that I have tried. I butter toasted them which helped a lot but the ends were sort of tough. Don't expect the texture of cheap white buns. These are more dense. I would buy them again. They were perfectly acceptable as a keto option.
These were a gelatinous mouth feel. Did not open easy and felt gloopy around the hot dog. Arnold’s are closer to a real Hotdog bun. Good if no other options for Keto friendly, but definitely not our Families first choice.
This used to be my go to keto hot dog bun. They must've changed their recipe because they are more chewy now. They have also definitely shrunk them- but, that is pretty common for that food purveyor...get people eating them and then suddenly shrink them.
Type 2 diabetics please be aware this product still raises blood sugar to unacceptable levels despite being marketed as "keto". Check your blood sugar one to two hours after eating to verify this like I did. Not happy these so-called "keto" breads can make this claim yet are still raising blood glucose. Every single "keto" bread product I have tried from Walmart does this, so please be careful when eating these breads and check your blood sugar afterwards to make sure you are OK.
I opened the bag and is smelled like chemicals to me. we have this keto and normal buns. My 10 year old saw me working to pull ste spongy bread apart. I said would you like to try it, immediately it went to the garbage. when I tried it, it was like chewing gum. I did eat two buns with hotdogs. I wanted to like it, because I miss bread. I can't like it, it is nasty sponge texture taste is nothing like any bread. Pulling one out of the package was just weird to the composition and feel.
I wanted to like these but they aren’t good. The texture is very similar to a kitchen sponge and the flavor is unimpressive. This brand of keto Hamburger buns tasted good but their hotdog buns are awful.
I got a pack of these on June 26th for July 4th along with all of our normal hot dog buns. on July 4th I opened them and ate one with my sausage. it is now 3 days later and I go to eat another one, the entire pack is covered in mold. They were kept completely dry in the pantry with all other buns. If they don't last 2 weeks they clearly aren't worth the high price. I am very upset by this, its multiple times the price of hotdog buns. None of my other Keto friendly breads or buns have ever done this.
