As someone who is allergic to artificial dyes, I have been looking for toaster pastries that are safe for me to eat for years- and finally discovered these, and I'm so glad! Even if I was able to eat the Pop-Tarts brand, I would still choose these! They're heartier, more flavorful, and don't taste like chemicals. While they're not significantly healthier than a Pop-Tart nutrition-wise, the peace of mind I get from knowing I'm not consuming any artificial flavors or colors makes these a huge winner in my book. Have tried and loved several flavors, but this one is my favorite.
I happened to pick up a box of these and its my first Nature's Path breakfast product! Absolutely amazing, its like a mini apple pie in the morning without the guilt of putting extra junk in your body. Taste much better than poptarts and are a cleaner product for your body! I cannot wait to try the other flavors, worth the extra money. Obsessed with these now!
Ok, I loved apple poptarts as a kid. I have been disappointed ever since that they got ride of them. I searched for a replacement and found these. They are great when they are first manufactured because I have scarfed down a ton. Last year I missed a couple of boxes in the pantry. They are pretty old. I opened the packaging to see if they were edible. What I found was the pastry and frosting are still good, but the filling has dehydrated and looks like a thin line in the pastry. Normally it looked as thick as a penny to a penny and a half. The filling is delicious to me. I eat these with coffee or hot tea so they may be dry, scone like, but I find them satisfying. I would probably put some sort of ingredient with the apples that could hold the moisture a little longer. I give them a 5 because I think they taste very good. They could be great with moisture enhancement for product that sits on the shelf longer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy to have tried the apple flavor! It's the right amount of apple flavor and filling. Not overly sugary or syrup filled which is greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm eating an apple pie! So good! #sweepstakes
These are exactly like popular brand name toaster pastries but the ingredients are all organic and wholesome! What's not to love? The apple pie flavor is great for anyone who enjoys a little spice and a little sweet. These are great toasted or also straight out of the package. Would definitely purchase again!
I can't stop eating these "APPLE PIE"??? How could you guys do this to me, im very health conscious, as well as concerned about where my food comes from, so its pretty much a win-win with these pastries, all "ORGANIC" ingredients im sold, tastes amazing, again win-win, the one and only issue I have with them is the sugar content, im not big on sugar at all and these do contain more sugar then id like, but these make a great cheat snack on occasion ??
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love these as much as I love the creals but they were just ok in my opinion. A little too dry.
Not very fruity. Thick crusts with a smear of cinnamon flavored gel inside. Although the box says "made with real fruit," and they are called "Apple Pie Toaster Pastries," there is no hint of apple in these.
I wanted to try a healthier snack, and I love pop tarts…well this is no match made in heaven…they have the texture of dry crumbly cake. Not moist at all, and I could barely notice any flavor of apple or cinnamon. I've tried to stomach the whole pack so I didn't waste my money, but I've got to ring the bell, I just can't eat the last two. If you want a healthy treat, eat real pop tarts and choose something else, this will NOT cure your longing for pop tarts ??
It's basically just an apple flavored graham cracker. Has almost zero filling and frosting. If dry, crumbly whole grain sadness is what you are seeking then these are perfect for you. If you're looking for a decent, healthy snack look elsewhere, because these will disappoint. Way too expensive for what you get out of these. How can something be so tasteless and still have 42g of sugar in it?
