First one I ordered got lost in the mail. Got my money back and ordered again. Next one was right on time. I put it together by myself. If you go by the in instructions it is easy. All parts were there and all holes matched up perfect. I had someone to help me set it up. Great price. Five Stars.
I'm jumping in to add my review along with all the other ones that have been negative. Yes, I read all the negative reviews, but still decided to give it a chance. The goal was delivered by FedEx, and I had my husband inspect while the delivery driver was still here. The box was busted open, but all of the parts were still inside. There's a good possibility that the base was cracked upon delivery, but we couldn't tell. We filled the base with the gel material that is advertised to go with basketball goals. It held up fairly well for about 2 months. Unfortunately, a very windy day brought about the basketball goals demise. It immediately fell over with the first big gust of wind. The rim became dented, and the base cracked. All of the gel leaked out. We are hoping to buy an aftermarket base support to replace the cracked one. We are also going to buy another rim. Like others have stated, there's no use taking it apart to return to the store. We're hoping to salvage what is left instead of buying a new goal. I recommend anyone pass on this goal if they're looking for a basketball goal that lasts longer than a few months.
Poor design. Hope you never have to move it. After it was built, the poles are not bolted together. While moving it, it fell apart. I'm reasonably good at putting things together and worried that the fiction required to hold it together was not enough. A couple of bolts and a few drilled holes would have prevented it from happening. I'm suprised the NBA would have their name on it. Haven't played on it yet.
Total waste of money. The 2 bottom pole braces broke after just 1 month of use. I called Walmart customer service at 833-971-0570 as the manual stated; I was told to email [email protected]. I sent that email with a picture of the broken, but still no response after 1 week. The manual says it's a 5-yr limited warranty, so I asked Walmart what my options were, and I was told to return it to the store for a refund. How am I supposed to dismantle this thing that took 6 hours to put together? I don't even have the packaging carton it came in any longer. Walmart should stop selling this BB Hoop. Also, it does not move as easily shown on the packaging. PLEASE DO NOT BUY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
We purchased this goal on Dec 2, 2021 for a Christmas gift for our daughter. We assembled the goal on Dec 27, it's not Feb 13 and the polycarbonate has completely separated from the metal frame that supports it, rendering the goal useless. It's a shame, the rest of the goal, the base, pole, lowering/raising mechanism and the backboard frame all seem well made and solid. The way they attached the polycarbonate to the frame though is cheap two sided tape though, complete garbage. I contacted the Walmart Customer Service chat help and they provided me with the manufacturers contact information. I am in the process of contacting the manufacturer, but they're not there on the weekends. I will update as we move forward, but as of now, I would not recommend this goal at all.
Do not buy will break and Walmart will not replace it. It said lifetime warranty. Then when you call the warranty company they will say it does not belong to them. Watch what you buy from Walmart May come from a third party and Walmart will not help you. Very disappointed only had this for a few months for a nine year old girl barely used and now it broke. Someone needs to replace my backboard
My kids were super excited to play with their new basketball hoop on Christmas after opening it. To bad putting the correct parts in the box in order to put it together was to complicated of a task. So now we sit here with parts everywhere because nothing is open to get the one missing screw to put it together. Once again Walmart proves they care only about mass production and nothing about customers.
I bought this basketball hoop for my 13 year old Daughter this past Christmas and it came with a 6 INCH HAIRLINE CRACK WHICH WAS NOT NOTICEABLE UNTIL THE VERY LAST STEP of the whole set up. This was extremely difficult for me being I'm a 5 ft 115 lbs woman. I did have to ask a male friend of mine to help me with the last few steps and when I put the hose to fill up the base I noticed water leaking out of a side crack. I'm afraid the wind may blow it over so I had to fill two buckets with water to sit on top of the base to help try and keep it sturdy so the whole thing doesn't fall over. I hope I can get another one sent with assembly included or a full refund because I will not go through having to put together another all because the one sent to me was defective and was not noticeable until the very last step. This is such an inconvenience.
This came in damaged THREE times to me. Base was cracked each time upon delivery. Customer Service final solution was basically, tough. Super shirt and inconsiderate. I will not be buying from Walmart again. Don't buy this hoop. Wasted hours of my life unboxing and repacking this to ship back out.
Bought for my boys Christmas 22 we didn't put together until March 30 due to winter weather it's April 7 exactly one week after putting it together the front leg supports snapped and fell on one of the boys causing some injury. Unfortunately I didn't save the packaging or the manual so not even sure who the manufacturer is hopefully Wal-Mart will make this right and stop selling this product all together it sounds like a on going issue probably should be a recall on this product.
