I was skeptical at first if it would work since usually everything always needs the dongle, but I was very pleased to see it worked very well and with ease. I always hate shopping around for hrs trying to find working guitars on eBay, Game Over, and other sites because they would usually not have or overcharge for the dongle attachment which was extremely frustrating. I was happy to see they developed a new guitar with an easy USB stick that would work for both the PS3 and the PC, and both GH and RB games for not too crazy of a price. Just a relief in general and so much easier, even if the guitar is not that large or all decorative.
works perfectly as intended. feels really nice, and very authentic to the original official instruments. very easy to plug in and play. %26 it looks very clean in person with the all black. would definitely recommend as a casual that is revisiting the older games :)
Trying to play guitar hero today? Don't want to spend a fortune on old faulty equipment? This is what you are looking for. Works exactly as I expected with both GH and RB on PS3. I'm super satisfied, can't believe I didn't find this controller sooner. Happy shredding!
Works well and is fairly priced
Pricey but Grandson loves it.
It's a pretty good guitar for guitar hero/clone hero/rock band. I would say this guitar works way better on PS3 than PC. Sometimes the guitar's select button stops working for star power and instead switches to another application. Also the whammy bar and motion sensors don't work on pc without extra software. Overall it's a pretty good guitar. I will say the strumming feels good and the buttons are spaced apart perfectly for someone with fat fingers.
they felt pretty close to the originals, but occasionally some notes don't register. i recalibrated several times and found thw issue must be within the guitar.
Very cheaply made. Half the time buttons don't register, constant ghost strums. You have to absolutely crush the buttons to even have a chance at registering them. This guitar will work if you only play on easy/medium for fun. If you play on expert, this isn't the guitar for you. Spend the extra 60$ and get the CRKD guitar because this thing is absolute junk.
I bought this for my wife's birthday so she could use it with the PS3 and PC but had so many connection issues and the calibration just never seemed to work right. Not to mention that the delivery driver left the package in the pouring rain!!! 15 feet away from the actual doorstep, just left in the rain and the delivery driver couldn't even be bothered to ring the doorbell. The box was soaked through.
The guitar stopped working after a few days. The buttons only work about half of the time. The strumming bar is very loose and for $90 is definitely not how it should play.
