Two out of three of these are really good quality. The green one definitely feels sturdy enough to just toss in a bag with a project and still have it work just fine. I like that it combines a magnetic pin/needle holder with the seam ripper and threader in one pen sized object, so I can stop having to go digging for tree different small things. The bear one doesn't have magnetic container, just a bit of styrofoam to hold the points, but it is also very sturdy feeling and the slightly narrower design is a little easier (than the green one) to use on smaller/tighter seams, like when you have to rework just the armpits on a toddler shirt. It's pen size/shape is much easier to hold than the two inch long, twig thin seam rippers I've had my whole life. Unfortunately, the last one is not so well made. The seam ripper does not lock in place, so you have to apply constant pressure to keep using it. It also doesn't even stay locked in, and the point sticks out whenever gravity gets a hold of it. It also just feels like one of those pen clips that breaks off the first time you try to put the pen in your pocket. I'm happy enough with the other two that I don't “regret” getting these, but I'm also probably going to throw away the third because it just isn't going to work for me.
