A funny, yet offbeat comedy finally on blu-ray. What really makes this movie interesting is the switch of Belushi playing the straight man to Ackyroyd's manic character. Its totally opposite of what youre used to seeing them play.

Dark comedy classic
Great packaging, slip cover and Blu-ray cover showcase both original movie posters from the movie. Dark comedy classic, with two comedy geniuses. So glad they finally released movie on Blu-ray.

A quirky comedy indeed
"Neighbors" is classified as a "dark comedy", and IMO well-suited to the comic team of Akroyd and Belushi. Sadly, Belushi died of a drug overdose 2 months after this movie was released - so it was Belushi's last role. I thought it was interesting that Belushi played the buttoned-down conservative neighbor "Earl" - a different character role for him. As it turns out, Belushi was originally selected to play the "wild and crazy" neighbor Vic, and Akroyd was to play "Earl", but they "swapped" roles during pre-production! I enjoyed the movie, but I don't feel that it's a "great" movie - certainly not as good as "Ghostbusters".
