The scissors are quite sharp and cut through paper with ease. They are also very durable. I just need to get it wet and see how it reacts. Overall, I'm quite happy.

Arrived earlier than planned, weight overall, and construction is heavier gauge metal. A bonus feature is the final coating. Although I haven't utilized them yet, I'm pleased with the range and quality of the tools (I'm putting together a new aquarium this week).

These are of excellent quality; they feel solid and hefty in your hands, like fine flatware. There is a piece of soft cloth to clean them down, along with a storage bag made of soft leather similar to Napa leather. Added a pair of scissors with a curve point.

I love how simple these are to use with my tiny aquariums without getting my hands wet. These are the ideal tools for rearranging plants, gravel, and dead material of any kind. Would be a wonderful present for your aquarium-loving friends and relatives. Would strongly advise.

Added some live plants to my aquarium recently. Unfortunately, the java fern experienced a bit of plant melt, so I purchased this tool kit to tidy things up. The tools are sturdy and the length was adequate. I was able to easily trim off the melted parts. I did find the scissors to be somewhat stiff though. I'm hoping they loosen up over time. Overall, I'm very pleased with this kit. I do want to point out that there weren't any instructions for the test strips that were included in the kit, so I'm not really sure how to use them or what the intended results should be.

These are decent tools for the money, but make sure your tank depth is shallow before using them. I have two tanks that are fairly regular in size, and even with them, my hands still get wet; however, I don't have to stick my entire hand in, which is OK. However, although being reasonably priced, my tanks are only around a foot tall and these are short.

A good bundle all around. I like the black a much. However, the scissors have a drawback. It is so stiff that using it comfortably is nearly impossible. Additionally, because the scissors' cutting edge is not tapered, it essentially tears and smashes my plants. These are not the scissors to use if you want a precise cut.
