What surprisedTakes the Work Out of Homemade Bread

LunaKai July 28, 2026

What surprised me about this bread maker is how little hands-on work is actually involved. If the idea of making bread from scratch sounds like a project, this machine takes care of the parts that usually make people hesitate: mixing, kneading, rising and baking. You measure the ingredients, add them in the proper order, choose your program and let the machine handle the process. It makes up to a 2-pound loaf and has 16 programs, which is one reason I think it offers more usefulness than a basic bread machine. Besides regular bread, there are settings for things like French and gluten-free bread, along with pizza dough, cake, jam and yogurt. I wouldn't buy an appliance this size just to make an occasional loaf, so having those additional uses matters to me. There are also three crust settings, light, medium and dark. That's a small feature on paper, but an important one in actual use because not everyone likes the same crust. The machine also uses a dual-heater design, intended to surround the loaf with heat for more even baking rather than concentrating the heat in one area. One of my favorite practical features is the 15-hour delay timer. It gives you the option of preparing everything ahead of time and having the bread finish later instead of planning your day around the machine. Once the cycle finishes, the one-hour keep-warm function gives you some breathing room if you can't remove the loaf immediately. Cleanup was another thing I paid attention to. The bread pan is removable and has a ceramic nonstick surface, so you're not left trying to scrub baked dough from a fixed pan inside the machine. If you've never used a bread maker before, there is one thing worth knowing: automatic doesn't mean the measurements don't matter. The machine handles the labor, but you still need to follow the recipe carefully. Measuring the flour, liquid and yeast correctly and adding the ingredients in the recommended order can make the difference between a nice loaf and a disappointing one. I also have to give Neretva credit for the design. The mint-green finish and retro styling make this look like an appliance that was meant to stay on the counter rather than something I immediately want to hide in a cabinet. I haven't encountered a genuine problem that I can fairly criticize at this point, and I won't invent one just to make a review appear more balanced. What I can say is that this makes the most sense for someone who wants fresh homemade bread without doing the kneading, rising and baking manually, but would also use some of the additional programs. For me, that's what makes this more than just a bread maker. It turns something that normally requires time, technique and several separate steps into a much more manageable process.

Bread Maker

Ashleigh July 24, 2026

I've really enjoyed using this bread maker. It's very user-friendly, even for beginners, and nothing about it feels confusing or overwhelming. The buttons are clearly labeled, and if you have any questions, the instruction manual does a great job of walking you through everything. I also like that it includes several recipes, so you can start baking right away without having to search for ideas online. The mint green color and vintage-inspired design give it a charming look that stands out on the countertop while still fitting in with a modern kitchen. It's a great combination of style and convenience.

Simple by design, and that's why I chose it

Rebeccah July 25, 2026

I chose this bread machine because it doesn't overwhelm you with endless settings and complicated programming. Nor does it come with a thick manual. It's a simple machine with one simple function: baking bread. Operation is a breeze. Add the ingredients in the recommended order (sequence is important), choose one of the three loaf sizes, select your preferred crust color, set a delay if needed, choose one of the 16 programs, and press Start. That's essentially the entire process. It takes only a few seconds. There is an excellent YouTube video that walks through the setup if you've never owned a bread machine before. Like the machine, it is simple and won't take up a lot of your time. For my first loaf, I used the Quick Bread program. Two hours later, I had a uniformly baked loaf with a nicely browned crust. It was an excellent first impression. (How did I ever live without a bread machine?) The machine does make some noise while kneading, but that does not bother me. Quite the opposite. I found the noise reassuring because I knew it was doing the work I didn't have to. I also appreciate the styling. I chose the mint green version, which has a fun retro look. The chrome-colored handle and the champagne-colored baking pan complement the design. This is a an appliance that you can leave on your countertop. The pan releases with a gentle leftward twist, making removal quick and easy. There are only two things I would change. The included measuring cup would be much easier to use if it had a handle, and I wish the machine had a true power switch. Once the baking cycle is complete, the display remains on until the unit is unplugged. For that reason, I recommend unplugging the bread machine after each use rather than leaving it energized between baking sessions. One tip for first-time bakers: after removing the loaf, let it cool on a wire rack so air can circulate underneath. That helps prevent moisture from collecting on the bottom, ensuring a dry crust.

This bread maker has it all!

Liv July 25, 2026

I absolutely love the nostalgic look of this bread maker , It has such a classic appearance that I think would look great sitting on any kitchen counter. What really impressed me, is how versatile it is. This machine can make everything from basic bread and pizza dough to cake and, surprisingly, even yogurt which is not something I expected to be able to make in a bread machine! I also love that you can choose your preferred level of browning for your bread, and the machine can knead the dough for you, which I think is such a cool feature. There is even a delayed start option, so you can set everything up ahead of time and have fresh bread ready in the morning. The instruction booklet is extremely helpful and includes a timetable showing how long each type of bread takes to cook, along with several pages of troubleshooting tips. I'm really looking forward to trying the cake function and attempting a keto bread from scratch . I feel like this bread oven is an excellent option for beginners because it offers so many different functions. I haven't made my first batch yet, but I have very high hopes for this bread maker and can't wait to start baking! I will update my review after my first batch.

Fresh Bread, Sandwiches, and Homemade Baking

Afsoon July 25, 2026

I've had a great experience with this Neretva bread maker. It's very easy to use, and the 16 preset programs make homemade baking simple and enjoyable. Whether I'm making soft bread for sandwiches, dough for pizza, or trying a new recipe, the machine delivers consistent results every time. The dual heating system bakes each loaf evenly, giving it a golden crust and a soft interior that's easy to cut into even slices. The nonstick ceramic pan makes cleanup quick, and the machine operates quietly, which is a nice bonus. I also appreciate the 15-hour delay timer and the keep-warm function, making it easy to have fresh bread ready whenever I want it. The mint green design looks beautiful on the countertop and adds a nice touch to the kitchen. Overall, this bread maker is reliable, easy to use, and a fantastic choice for anyone who enjoys homemade bread, sandwiches, pizza dough, and everyday baking.

Great appliance for the price.

Rich March 17, 2026

I have baked two loafs of bread so far and it works well. It sure kneads the dough thoroughly. The kneading is quieter than a Panasonic I used to own but the kneading lasts longer. The non-stick ceramic coating works very well. I would purchase it again.

Good looking addition to the kitchen

Jeanie August 10, 2026

Love the height, shape and color of the machine. It is attractive on the counter and doesn't take up as much room as many other makes do. What I didn't like are the recipes. The first bake I used a recipe I had and it turned out lovely; next I tried the recipe in the booklet for basic bread. All three sizes called for 1 tsp of yeast - that didn't make sense, but gave it a try. Result: a midget loaf of bread with the density of a bowling ball and still wet when the time was up. Skip the recipes in the booklet!
