This Nerf Tuff Tug dog toy is great for my dogs! I have 3 large breed dogs and they love this! It feels very durable! Many toys don't survive long in this house, but my fur babies have been playing with this for several days and it shows little sign of wear. It's tough build makes it tough to chew through and the rings seem like they won't separate easily. It's great for human vs dog tug of war, or dog vs dog tug of war! I love the design and love the colors! I'm very happy with this produce and would absolutely recommend it to other pet parents!
This 3 ring toy is very sturdy. Made well. I got it for my 13lb terrier mix dog who loves toys. It's better suited for a large dog. My dog is a lil afraid of it lol. All her toys r soft. This toy would b good for a chewed. Just have to watch aggressive cheers so not 2 swallow plastic. Very colorful
This Nerf Dog 3 Ring Tuff Tug Dog Toy truly is a tuff and rugged toy. I love the colors and the weight and size of the rings. Days after I got this toy my large schnoodle began to get attached to it. She, unfortunately died suddenly right after we found out she had lymphoma. It was devastating, but I have recently brought home a new puppy schnoodle and she won't play "tug of war" with it YET, because she is so small, but she does give it a chew (tiny as her jaws are right now) and she drags it around onto her blanket. This toy will last forever and is so much better for doggies than the ropes that fray and cause choking from threads. I highly recommend.
Our rescue dog doesn't play fetch but she usually likes to play tug-o-war with a knotted rope toy. This 3-ring toy made of rubber seemed perfect. Size-wise it is just right for our 55 pound heeler mix. It took her a couple seconds to figure out how to grab the ring (sometimes she grabs the end ring and sometimes the middle ring) but then she started pulling right away. It is a heavier and little harder rubber so it should last a while. I am afraid if I let go too quickly it might bop her in the face but we shall see. The ring is much easier for me to grab and hold on to. Much better than the rope! After she "wins" the battle she likes to gnaw on the ring which should help clean her teeth. Hasn't been able to chew any pieces off yet. The ring size may a little small for larger dogs to grab and too heavy a toy for small dogs.
This is a well constructed toy. My dog loves it but has a hard time "fetching" it just because it's a little heavy for her (she's a mini golden doodle, 28 pounds). For a dog that has a strong jaw, it would be just fine but she has a soft bite. With that being said, she does love to gnaw on it lying down. She keeps it on or close to her couch and chews it daily. Overall, I think this is a great toy and a great buy.
This tug toy is probably durable enough for a normal dog or two, however my dogs DESTROY toys! This lasted them about an hour of supervised play time until I had to take it away before they tried to eat the pieces that were broken off. They did have a ton of fun playing with it, I just wish it would have lasted longer. I have included photos of the tug toy after an hour of play, along with the culprits.
I waited to do this review because it takes my dog a while to get used to a new toy. I thought it would be kind of soft because it was from Nerf. But it is very hard. I've tried all my little tricks to get my dog to get used to it and start playing with it. She'll so go over like she's going to pick it up and sniffs at it and just turns and walks away. So unfortunately I cannot give this product a good review. Someone else's dog may like however.
Really well made. Very colorful. Would be great for a extreme chewer. Not really good for toy sized dog's. As you see in my photos, the 3 dog's of mine loved the card-board, but left the toy alone. But my friends brought their Germany Shepherd over and he loved it . I will keep it here for him to play with,vI dog sit him a lot.
We only had it for five hours and my dog is ripping off pieces of it. It seems like hard plastic, but it was easy for him to tear into. He is not typically an aggressive tour. He is only one year old golden retriever stop it sorry you cannot get into these chocolate things and leave them out. The dogs are gonna get sick. Ask for dogs what are you doing?
I originally got this for my dog, but it was a lot bigger than I was expecting. So I gave it to my husband's best friend for his lab/wolf/horse haha. It didn't even last 30 minutes. He had it in pieces in no time at all. At least he had fun in the process. I definitely would not recommend if you have a highly aggressive chewer.
