Ultimate Battle gun!

mommyofet September 7, 2015

This Nerf Doominator is pretty spectacular. This gun is easy to load, and fast to shoot. It comes in the box with twenty four darts. Its easy to remove from the box. Assembly is pretty quick and easy, mostly snapping the black dart holders in place. To reload you just rotate the chambers and stick the darts in, no taking the gun apart, which is good. you pull it back to load (the front of the gun piece), and you get six shots in each round. you rotate the black cartridges with the double looped orange trigger. So shooting is very easy and fast. The bottom part is flat so you can rest it on a surface to get a steady shot! Of course you don't want to shoot at the face, I have been shot with the darts and yes there is a sting. My husband loves this gun, and my two kids do too. it would be an epic battle to have two people with two of these guns! Of course if you don't have two, one is good to practice with, it has pretty good distance with firing, just know with all Nerf products trying to get the darts once you shoot is a hunt within itself. Its not a heavy gun either so little kids can definitely hold this no problem. Mine are six and five and loves this and all the Nerf products. They can aim and shoot the gun with no problems, my younger one needs help with the trigger now and then, but mostly knows how to operate it. I would definitely recommend this gun its fast and fun for everyone

This is really fun.

The Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster is great fun for the kids. I only had to attach three things before using. And those three things went on very easily. The blaster holds 24 darts, so lots of playtime before running out. It doesn't require any batteries, which is great. You just grab the handle in the front, pull back, return to normal position and pull the trigger. There are two triggers, one to shoot and one to rotate the devices that hold the darts. My 10 year old daughter did have a little trouble pulling back the front to load the darts. But with a little practice she was able to get the hang of it. It shoots pretty far and depending on how close you are hits fairly hard. It seems to be made well and we haven't had any darts jam the device, but I suggest making sure the darts are loaded correctly to avoid jamming. I would recommend this to anyone for a fun birthday or Christmas present. I think some adults would enjoy this Nerf Blaster also. I know I'm having fun with it.

You are the Zombie Doominator!

Enjoymakingcards September 17, 2015

This is an awesome toy! It is a well made, plastic toy. It is easy to assemble, needs no batteries, and works smoothly. It is large so a small child would not be able to hold it and operate it. The nerf bullets come flying out of the gun with great acceleration and distance! Not for the faint of heart! After all, you ARE shooting Zombies! It does not come with a target so you'll have to make your own. As a parent, I like the way it was secured in the box. Instead of the wire or plastic ties, it is packaged using paper-twist ties and cardboard pieces. The only assembly needed are to attach two barrels (which snapped easily in place), and a screw-in handle. Load it with the 24 nerf bullets which slide easily into place, and begin exterminating Zombies. Have fun.

Look out Zombies!!

MrKite68 September 11, 2015

I am reviewing the Nerf Zombie Strike Doominator through the Spark Review Program. This Nerf gun is rated for ages 8+. Included with the gun is 24 “bullets”. It has 4 drums that hold the bullets. These drums rotate so you can shoot 24 bullets before needing to reload. This is crucial when fighting zombies. It has a front handle to grip the gun and you can use it in three different positions. There is some assembly required. You have to attach two of the drums which are no problem. There is a “flip-trigger” which rotates the drums. There are two different ways to fire the bullets. The first one, you move the Slide all the way back, and then move it forward. Pull the trigger to fire. Repeat. The second way to fire is called the Slam Fire. Hold the trigger down (back). Move the Slide back and forward rapidly to fire all 6 darts. Press the Flip-trigger to move the drums. I like Nerf products. They hold up well. I have Nerf products that have lasted through a number of grand kids, seasons of hard play and still work as well as when I first got them. I am looking forward to this one lasting just as long.

Great multi barrel Nerf gun!

Dolphincrazy88 September 27, 2015

I received this product from Spark Reviewer. I think this was an awesome gun. It hold 24 bullets and let me tell you, you can't dodge all those coming your way. This gun looks real heavy and it isn't my 9 year old toted it around real easy. He liked it because he has a lot of bullets to shoot. His friends and him played Nerf war for hours. The bright green bullets were easy to see for pick up as well. It shoots fast and reloads easy.

Stock Up On Extra Darts !!

HaiHayzMom September 20, 2015

This Gun Holds Tons Of Darts [24 darts]. They Load & Are Held All Over. Not Too Heavy, But 2 Hands Are Needed To Hold This Gun. A Medium Powered Gun & Not Meant For High Accuracy/Range. Works Great In The Pool Area. So Happy That The Darts Float " ) A Great Edition To The Nerf Zombie Strike Gun Line " )

Fun but complicated

Momto2inPA September 18, 2015

This is definitely a gun for older kids, and it does state such as the recommended age is eight and up. It fires strong so any close up shots would definitely hurt. I cannot stress enough that this is not for young kids who can be careless, if you are hit in the face with this or up close, it is definitely going to hurt another child. That being said, its great fun for older kids and adults. My 14-year-old had a blast with dueling his dad and it was a great way to get out some aggression and anger without anyone actually getting hurt. It can be cumbersome though because there are so many things to do at once in order to fire it. My son said it would have been a five star if it was not pump action. It also fires far, so be careful in places where you have the potential to lose the darts. If you are outside, you will want to make sure you have a clear enough area that they will not get lost. Sometimes it does misfire too, but if you get the rhythm, it can shoot decently fast, though it will not keep up with the newer motorized ones. The amount of darts is a plus as well, so you can fire longer before reloading.

Payback Time

Faiths13 September 9, 2015

I decided to review the Doominator because I thought this would be a great way to pester my spouse and loads of fun for me to be able to keep shooting him. Little did I know that there is a serious community of Nerfers'; so I cannot comment or compare on how the gun would hold out in a Nerf War. • For me, what makes the Doominator so much fun is that it holds a large capacity of bullets. • The gun has 4 drums with 6 shots per drum for a total of 24 bullets. • Once you have run through the first load you can pull the Flip trigger to change barrels, so more action and less reloading. • Your front grip/handle can be adjusted to 3 different positions in order to find what works best for you. (The instructions tell you to put the handle in the downward position, but for me it's more comfortable on the left side, plus it doesn’t get in the way when you are priming your gun.) • You have the ability to do rapid or continuous fire by holding down the fire trigger and continuously priming. • No batteries required. (I'm not a fan of batteries unless they are rechargeable so this is a big plus for me.) A couple of things I would say would be a bit of a con: • This is a fairly large gun and anyone who decides to use it would need to have some upper strength if you plan on carrying it around for a long period of time. • The length, because it is so much longer unless you have longer arms it becomes a bit uncomfortable holding. Otherwise, the Doominator seems to work fine and is a ton of fun when you want to pester you spouse or older children.

Not quite as cool as it looks

Bruicidal September 11, 2015

Pros: This thing is very nicely packaged. This makes wrapping it for a birthday or holiday gift very easy. This Nerf blaster is super easy to put together, the carts load in very easy as well. It has a great color scheme, excellent for outdoor zombie adventures. It holds six darts per chamber, and there are four chambers, for a total of twenty four shots before requiring a reload. It is also lightweight, which makes it very easy to carry. It does give you a good distance when firing, though. Cons: I do wish the barrels rotated on their own, which is not the case. There is a secondary type "trigger" switch which rotates the barrels. The other fact is that you have to slide the launcher back and forth in between each shot, so it's more of a launcher than a blaster. It is a bit time consuming to reload. Also, it is a bit loud, so there will be no sneaking up on anyone in battle with this In summary, this thing is very exciting to look at, but it doesn't live up to the hype. It can be a bit difficult to maneuver for smaller players, and not efficient enough for professional players, but it may still be a worthwhile addition to the collection.

Lots of rapid-fire shots

RosieRR September 8, 2015

My son collects Nerf guns and uses them at zombie and apocolyptic LARP events. This gun is great because it houses so many shots. The gun is well made, fires rapidly and gives a pretty accurate shot. It's lightweight and comfortable to hold and carry. The only thing that keeps this from getting a 5-star rating is the clip changing mechanism. If you push down too fast, the clip won't rotate to the next one. This is bad when zombies are coming after you. You have to make sure you press the trigger smoothly and steadily to get a fresh clip.
