We used to love Nescafe Gold Blend for years, we bought it constantly, but recently have experienced a change upon opening the jar, the coffee smell is unusually pungent and the taste is not as smooth as it used to be. Leaving a bitter taste at the end. Such a pity.
Thought they had made a change,so looks like I'm gonna have to as well, can't be putting up with a mouthful of grit from the bottom of the cup,if I had heard nescafe were making a change I would have read reviews before purchasing and gone onto something else
We have consistently drunk Gold Blend for years rating it as the best instant on the market, but it has become horrid since you changed the packaging and, I assume the recipe. It leaves a nasty bitter aftertaste and the stuff that is left at the bottom of the cup is simply awful. Why on earth make something good much worse? Having read loads of other negative reviews, I have to agree with them. Please put it back as it was.
Gold blend has always been the coffee for me for many years. This new blend is bitter and taste like a cheap coffee. This coffee now lacks depth. Leaves a residual at the bottom of the cup. You have lost a good customer in me- I'm on the look out for recommendations of a new coffee.
I have been drinking Nescafé Gold for more years than I care to remember. Then suddenly you change the shape of the jar. Mmmmmmm suspicious!!! At first I thought it was me, I thought that maybe I had put too much or not enough coffee in my mug. But then my husband made me one, and he always gets it right!! Urgh!!! It was awful, and I have always drunk every bit of my coffee, but not now. Now I end up with a mouthful of “Dregs” and it is disgusting. Please, please, please, please, please could you put Gold Blend back as it was. I used to drink coffee all day, probably as many as 10 cups a day, but now I am drinking about 2 half cups a day. Tomorrow I am going round some local shops to see if any one has any of the old shape jars, and therefore the proper Gold Blend. If not, then I will be buying any other coffee, because I cannot stand the thought of having another cup of that New Gold Blend!!!! And from what I can see, I am not the only one who is finding this coffee disgusting.
I have been buying this product for many years for home and work (60 jars a month...) the feedback from the workforce has been dreadful.. me personally I have stopped drinking it altogether.. quality matters and you have seriously altered taste, aroma, and now we do not consider it value for money.
We have loved Gold Blend for years, what have you done, its a horrible. You have ruined it. Like many others we thought we had just picked a poor batch as we buy it in bulk. We will definitely be looking for an alternative brand as it tastes awful like some cheap, bitter, weak alternatives and it now leaves a sediment in the bottom of the mug. Yuk really poor ................ goodbye Nescafe after many years of happy Gold Blend drinking bye the way had to give one star but wanted to give NO STARS !
We have enjoyed Gold Blend for a number of years, but since and it may only be a coincidence, the branding changed, the coffee is not as good. There is a residue left in the cup, it's not as smooth on the tongue and is more like a filter coffee. I would be interested to know what has changed and why it was felt necessary? As it is we are likely to switch brand once we've made our way through our current stockpile of several jars.
I always used to buy Nescafé Gold Blend but something has changed in the formula. It doesn't taste the same and leaves a sandy sludge at the bottom of the cup. My friend who used to drink it says the same. I bought a second jar last week hoping I'd just had a bad batch previously but no. I won't be buying it again. Such a shame as it's hard to find a decent instant coffee.
Like many others, I too have been researching whether Nescafe has changed the blend for Gold Blend. My husband and I have been drinking this for over 30 years (many cups a day!). Like others, I will no longer be buying it. There is a strange metalic taste now present and the taste/aroma just isn't same. PLEASE change it back! We miss the old stuff!!!!!
